I was thinking of visiting Pennine Models in Haworth and then having a ride on the steam railway. Turns out the shop has closed!

Looks like there is a new Pennine Models near Skipton, 18 miles away. It's in a farm so is probably mail order only from their website https://www.penninemodels.co.uk/

Do we know what happened?
Did the old boy there retire after years of seemingly part time opening?

That farm looks cool. I could put quite a workshop in that barn!

Hi Nick,

No they just moved, the barn is alot bigger so they can show most of their stock, they are open to visitors, but best to check in advance as they close when attending Model Railway shows.

Its a bugger to get get to so they advise using three little words, as we tried it once and failed, then mapped the location on google and were able to use the street finder to identify the landmarks needed to navigate there.

Sadly no longer in Howarth, to enjoy that town, the chippy across the road or then going onto Halifax Modellers World.

We used to a round robin from Bolton, of Halifax Modellers World, Pennine Models in Howarth, then back over the moors to the M65 and across to Transport Models in Preston, now no longer possible with Transport closing down and Pennine moving to up near Skipton

Thanks for that. It's a bit too far from Bolton to be worth hitting next weekend. I shall leave it till the summer and go on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway instead.

Have to admit that old shop was jam packed with kits, I could barely turn around in there!
