Give it a go, there are some out there which are as good as any injection moulded stuff you'll see. Just pick a type you really want
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I have a couple in the stash.  An Aki Resin Kawanishi Shiun and a SBS Loire 210.  Both 1/72 and coincidentally both floatplanes.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

If the AKI one is anywhere near as good as their Firebrand TF.V, it'll be stunning.  I'm almost afeared to start it.

I think that I have worked out what the NCIS New Orleans season 2 episode 2 Skystormer aircraft is based on. The Mcdonnell Voodoo with twin tail fins and a forward swept wing. The tail could be an F-18 Hornet and the engine air intake from a F-16.

Two planned Whifs for next year. Late 70's RAF F-105KR (aka TSR.3) and mid-60's "VNAF" OA-61C.

First things first, get the essential jobs done when I eventually move into my new house  :banghead: was wanting ti be in before Christmas, but not looking likely. Making the master bedroom draft tight, and plasterboard the front wall, I will.wait until it gets warmer to have it skimmed. THEN... the spare room.will be my dedicated hobby room. I can start comfortably building bigger stuff again and display it safely. First thing to be completed will be the Avro Kittleton long range bomber. Most of the hard work is done on it, I just need to decide where to stick the remotely operated self defence gun turrets.

About 1 1/2 hours from my house.  ;D
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Another idea, what if the Douglas C-133 was fitted with turbofan engines. Looking at the Boeing drawings for a cargo version of the B-52  they had a similar  view. They would have changed the wings and engines, not quite a straight forward swap but if both models in 1/144 scale were acquired.

Spey_Phantom

my first priority is to get some WIP builds done before the move. but today, i finally got some bench time (home sick).
ive been working all day on my 1/144 airfield diorama. expect pictures soon.

still loads more to do, just need to do some organising first.
