Snaffled a pair of Kora Ta 152s on eBay, these being the top notch Aoshima kit with resin bits applicable to the boxed variant.

I've got the original Aosima Ta-152 kit, but which Kora resin bits would suit it for an upgrade?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The only thing it really needs is a better defined closed cowling.  Some of the bits Kora provide aren't that much better on the kit parts.  The wheels have a slightly better hub,  the cockpit tub has some detail (which will vanish under some paint).  There's some replacement doors but they don't look any better than the kit parts.

The H-10 has the camera fairing (to clone) and the B-5 has the shorter C wing.  The S-2 has a replacement two seat fuselage, but I'm not sure of it's provenance. The  S-1 was based on the C series, with the DB603 and the normal wing.  Hmmn.  I think I have some bits somewhere to cobble one together.

The Aoshima kit is still pretty good for it's age - mid 90s tooling - really needs little more than careful painting perhaps some straps and a bit of brass to go under the rear canopy decking.   I mean, I'd love Eduard to tackle the type and if Hobbyboss scaled their Ta 152C down I'd not argue, but as is, I'm happy.

The Art Model kit is definitely a warmed over Dragon kit with a few changes to make it legal.  I'll be playing with that one later.

Having had cause to visit the loft, again, I discovered one of the other boxings.  I know I've another two tucked away.

1/72 Airfix Fairey Rotodyne; one painted with decals but on both fuselage halves with a pair of fuselages not painted. Lots of parts so one should be complete set.
Esci 1/72 Boeing HV-22 Osprey .

Why doesn't this surprise me?  ;D  ;)

I don't think it surprises *any* of us...

Focke Wulf Friday at Uncle Frank's today, leaving with the following:

Eduard Fw 190F weekend.  This will end up as an E-10, which never existed, with the bigger prop and fan, Ta 152 fin and rudder and the oblique camera fairing from the Ta 152H or the vertical fairing from the Bf 109. Haven't decided yet.

IBG Fw 190D-9 Mimetall(?)  One of the boxings that suit a particular factory which seems to matter to some people.  There's some useful spares, as they've gone down the Eduard route of a standard few sprues and several variant specific, but why they've included a DB603 radiator cowl in all when it's only for their D-15 is anyone's guess.

IBG Fw 190D-15 Torpedo bomber.  Except it's not a D-15 as that had the Ta 152 fin and rudder, whilst the D-14 had the standard D series fin and rudder.  Again, plenty of spares that will be useful elsewhere.

Oh, and Uncle Frank donated a Lindberg Heinkel He 100. I did give him an assembled old tool Airfix Beaufighter which I'd added the Magna Merlin conversion in return

For The Stash: a 2nd hand (unbuilt) Tamiya 1:700 O Class British Destroyer, apparently this kit comes with two ships? Fodder for naval camouflage experiments.

I found a cheap old helicopter kit with a nice cockpit for a spacey build ....
It's in 1:48 , so also the rear frame could be useful .

You cannot view this attachment.

And one of those ugly Bloch Bombers (. I converted the same kit last year together with a mk.IV Tank ) .
This Thing could give a proper Dieselpunk style plane I think !
It's a very vintage kit from Czechia , known for their precision
They were sold well in the former East German communist  republic  .

It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.
