Wheels needed

4, to be precise. The wheels that come with the Revell Cutlass are very primitive, and I would love to have something better. The mains are, including tires/tyres, 11mm in diameter, the pair of nose wheels are 9mm.

Just thinking, would some solid disc covers over the hubs change things sufficiently?

They would. Thought about trying to modify them, not sure how.

A leather punch and some 20 thou? Or one of the ring-binder hole punches?

Then just glue the disc over the top.

The Rat

Found some in the bin that will do for the nose gear - the main wheels from the Airfix P-80, and with spokes, looks a bit more authentic. Mains are still needed

I must have some wheels somewhere for you as nearly all my builds are wheels up

Would they have to be 1/72, or could you repurpose something else?
IIRC, I used 1/48 P-51 mains for a 1/72 Ventura - someone may have something similar.

As long as they're 11mm in diameter, with a proper looking hub, I don't care about scale. Could be the mains from a 1/144th B-36, or the tailwheel from a 1/18 Piper Cub.  ;D

The Wooksta!

Have you got a Revell Focke Wulf Flitzer in the stash?  The mainwheels in that are spoked, too thick and, well, wrong.  Steal a set of those and replace with a set of resin Fw 190 wheels.
I may have some in a box somewhere.  I'll see what I can find.

These any use?

11mm diameter, two pieces/wheel, spokes on the outside, plain on the inside, tread on the tire. They're a bit thick when assembled: about 5mm.

Bear in mind I'm in the UK so postage might be a bit steep. DM me if you want them.

I've a couple of 11mm diameter spoked wheels Ratty. Your more than welcome to them, but they'd need to cross the pond.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Rat

They look the business, should be easy to grind off those treads to something more planey like.   PM inbound!
