As for postage times from/to the UK ? I think we all know why that is    Hopefully things will sort themselves out  eventually and officials will stop trying to score points.

An unreasonably crowded day. The lovely Mrs P came home rather tired after her first day, as expected given all new impressions, but also a bit confused by some new conditions re flexibility just popping up quite out of the blue. Annoying, but too early to tell what's really in it.

At home, the full burden of children logistics fell on hours truly, and the only thing certain about that is that nothing is certain. And indeed - I have driven 60 km's today, shifting kids here and there. I should probably install a taxameter just to prove the point.

Anyway - I've started to find a colour for the Tunnan attack rockets and as there's all but no references I'm running the trial and horror method. Not there yet, as it stands, but I will, I'm sure. Another day.

First day art a new job is always going to be confusing - InfoDumps are never fun. 
I have made it a habit to write instructions down as I go... saves a lot of Errors in the Trial... manuals are all very well, but generally I can make notes that are easier for me to understand (generally...)

I recently heard the term 'DUber' - as in 'Dad Uber'. Also available is 'BFDUber' - 'Best Friends' Dad Uber'...

Presumably there is also MUber.  Which will have replaced the Mums Taxi of old.

I like the concept of Trial and Horror.  I will try and remember that.  You may have coined a phrase there Mr P (I am assuming it was a typo - forgive me if it was not).

It's actually a rather old saying, as someone more British than me most likely will provide a lecture about.  Very well know in engineering, at least..
That said, it's also a good and very descriptive phrase, so.. 

Having worked my way through a series of meetings (Teams, i.e from home) I've managed not only to decide on the rocket colour, (325M, as in Swedish-bog-standard-paint-everything-military-in-sight-green), but also coloured them up and attached them under the wings of the Strike Tunnan. As next meeting is coming up, and it's a long, listening one, I might as well carry on with some Lansen/Tunnan "sea" camouflage. Four aircraft to go!

Three SAAB 32's, one S29 and a Sabre Dog has gotten the first layer of paint. There's a good deal of touch-up remaining, but they'll have to sit for a day or so to dry properly before I'll engage in that.
For now, I gave the S32 maritime reconnaissance Lansen an all over blue scheme on top as per the trials. I'll mull a bit on that, because it is a tad boring.

The ECM "apparat 15" antennae at the wing tips came out quite ok after all. That's a relief, actually. I wasn't sure having PSR'd them, but the paint seems to make it work. And as they'll be black when ready, I think they'll look alright once completed.

I'm still not decided on the loadout of the S32. One could hang heavy anti ship missiles (they'd fit in my backstory), but then again - maybe not. I'll have to test a little, methinks.

Only minor fiddlings today, but digging around a bit, I took out a pair of old Heller Viggens, an AJ37 and a SF37, to perhaps refurbish as soon as the desk is clear of Lansens. That will mean splinter camouflage, though, but then again, I will have to go for that with the VTOL build anyway, methinks..

Annoyingly, the eldest's car is playing up again, so i've spent a good portion of the day reinstalling an ignition box. Crappy cablework is unfathomably irritating!! And still, there's something not working properly, but I'm out of daylight and tomorrow promises to be a 15-hour workday, so I'd better get prepared for that.

Interestingly, Mrs P came home from her second day at the new job having been offered a promotion. She was meant to take up a position as quality specialist, but now is offered the department head for the entire HSQE functionality. While her experience and competence is there (and then some), it's still somewhat unorthodox to offer someone such a step just after 12 hours together.  Well - I guess I'm not the only one seeing her as the miracle she is, and that's good, I think. But if promotions keep coming like this, she'll be the next PM by Christmas.. 

And no modelling at all today. Sodding car.. And having retreated indoors, trying to at least pop a tin to get a second coating on some of the desk occupants, the newly promoted one came waving a good set of chores to be dealt with. Well, well.. Onwards, I guess..
