Quote from: Rick Lowe on February 05, 2024, 11:37:21 PMPhill, is the gun barrel scraper to get rid of seam lines? Or for re profiling? (I suppose it could be used for both)
Rick it's to get rid of the seam lines after gluing without ending up with a flat spot ..it's got different profiles for different sizes of barrel  ;D
Very neat 👌 😄

Sounds good.
I remember making flat spots on various barrels (and fuselages :banghead: ).
Nowadays I use a Flexifile or a turned barrel.
Dude I don't know how many times I've done that to a gun barrel  :banghead:
I've still got tanks with plastic barrels..all the Tamiya ones for example so this should prove to be very useful.
Now today turned into something very good which was so not on the cards dew to the stupid arse price here ..but those cards got just shoved off the table because for the sum of $65 NZ dollars I now have a Miniart Tiran 4 Sharir early type with dozer blade sitting in front of me 😄😄😄😁
That I'm sure is less than half price here
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

The wing struts are on either side of the fuselage in the photo, they look like resin parts & appear to have brass rod moulded into them for extra strength (ditto the wheel struts, just to the left of the engine as viewed).

Right can see them now   Brass rod inserts would be the best way to deal with any strength/stability issues   Thanks

According to leading psychiatrists, that's a sure sign that you have too many models. Send me all your Spitfires and Hunters and that should restore your memory.

Considering how many models arrived this week I'm surprised I didn't loose the finger 😅 😄
