It's nice to look through your procurements, planning and test fitting some of the bits and pieces. I needed that today. It's been a quite shitty one.

Sounds like a Good Plan to me.

And I agree, it's nice to stroll through the Stash and the Ideas For.

Arrived today , Aerocraft project 75, I wanted one if these as soon as I saw them, so relinquished the house fund of a few quid. Two.pairs of 2/72nd scale Argus engines from Lonewulf  models for a future project, now do I put all 4 on it or not:angel:
Arrived last week but didn't mention it, a Dora wings Fairey Delta 2. This as discussed  will get surgery in the nose department, and bebfitted with a radar nose, and be armed with firestreaks.

Tbh, I'd do the Dora kit as the real one and use the Frog/Novo for whiffing.  It's so basic in some respects that it needs a cockpit upgrade.

I have already built my Novo one,  and to buy theynarengoing for the same money as the Dora kits if not more, hence me buying a Dora kit. I have been looking out for another Frog/Novo kit for ages.

I might have a spare. I'll have a look.

In other news, I've secured an eBay auction I was desperate to win. A collection of five part started Fw 190s and Ta 152s, all for the start price. Even with postage, it's still cheaper than a Kora boxed Aoshima kit.
Comprising an Academy A, an Airfix A, an Eduard A, an Aoshima Ta 152 H-0 (and the more modern one with the brass etch) and a Dragon Ta 152C.  The seller said the latter was the worst kit he'd ever seen, but he's managed to get the wings on the fuselage, so I'd give him some kudos for that.

The Academy and Airfix ones are useless, bar some spares.  It was the two Ta 152s I was interested in.

Got my second Heller Jaktviggen today, hence being all but ready to start another family group build. Maybe already next week, as the kids have holidays.

Yup, sometimes just allows your mind to wander off to modelling Nirvana, good for the sanity
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Gondor

Got a text as work this morning from Parcelforce giving me options for the delivery of a package which they expected to deliver around lunch time. Knowing I would be home all day on Friday I selected the option for "Deliver is Two days time". Got home and found there was another message saying it had been delivered to my local Post Office
I went and got the package but would have been quite happy for them to follow instructions  :banghead:

Edit: Got so cought up in the rant that I forgot to mention that the item was the CMK TSR.2 undercarriage set.

First kit of the year.  Don't judge, it's a Mistercraft (EDIT 1: ex-Heller Heller-based) SAAB Draken.

EDIT 2: not a 'Heller-inspired' kit at all - it's a derivation of the 1989 'with weapons' boxing of the original Revell Draken.

EDIT 3: Definitely for whiffing - BTW deffo not the worst Mistercraft kit I've seen, mind - Irish Air Corps is shouting out at me at the mo.  Potentially a candidate for this year's 'One Week GB'?

I plead in mitigation that I also got some packs of styrene rod, and I was walking the streets of West Worthing getting/keeping grandson #4 asleep.

His first trip to a model shop but was blissfully unaware.

I start building some planes in 1:48 , and this comes with some figures .
Another 262 more is never wrong for me .

Built that when it was first released back in 1978.

The cockpit tub and Mk 108s survived to be reused in a couple of different kitbashes
years later. All long gone now

I've had two.  One of them was the only 1/48 aircraft i've built in the last 40 years.  https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=39625.msg657965#msg657965

The other was parted out to various scaleorama builds (both up and down).

Fit is poor and the plastic is hard and brittle (what I think of as "Monogram" styrene after experiencing it with their car models.

From the local hobby shop: Airfix 1/72nd Fairey Rototdyne.

I was beginning to despair of getting one of these! I was going to buy one from the Airfix website using Hobby Reward points, but then the day before the points became active, the damned thing disappeared off the website. Okay, I thought, there were loads on traders stalls at Bolton, so I'll get one at Leeds, but: nary a one to be seen... :banghead:  LHS had two in last week: I just got the last one...

They are yet to put in an appearance here.  There's a pay dispute going on with the dock workers.  They could be caught up in that.
