Having reread the GB rules again that Eureka moment flashed in front of my eyes.  There was a proposal for a naval version of the Mil Mi-24 Hind but didn't make it into production nor did the French Army's Lynx helicopter which the tandem seating for the pilot and weapons officer which also got cancelled. Having received the Airfix 1/72 GKN-Westland Navy Lynx model kit and taken some measurements, the Lynx and Hind could be kitbashed. Another Mi-24 Hind will need to be as I have used the kit for my other builds, the Army Lynx will also be purchased as the early versions had skids, not wheels.

Another idea would be to change the paint scheme of the Midland Blue Pullman to something resembling the Northern Belle ( chocolate and cream). I've seen a few dummy power cars and coaches for sale in 00 gauge.

An increase of an idea popped into the nut just now for my Vietnam Australian M-48 build...im going to add a mine roller to it from a M-60A1 I've got..that's already built..badly in fact so not by me but I'm going to rip that part for the bits.
Who in their right mind would glue the crew into the turret without any painting??? .
I'll either knacker the turret getting them out or destroy them ..them it is

I was in thinking mode around doing something like the M48 Australia used in Vietnam as a mine clearer that was borrowed from the US. It, ironically hit a  mine and was heavily damaged, but thinking of something along the same lines about souping it up a bit.

I am still in the Vietnam type mode for this GB so something else might pop up. I have a bit of thinking time still

Yup matey..your mind has been entered and important ideas removed ..modified and put back in 

I think your safe tho bud ..mine is going to be a pure Australian modified version.
No 90mm gun..it's getting a 20 pounder gun..the crew served weapons will be a FNMAG and a .50 cal.
Even tho the Aussie troops carried the L1A1 rifle M16s where also carried so those might make an appearance too.
Finding Vietnam era Australian tankers might be fun .

Pat, providing whatever you build from it is based in the 1960's, then fine.

What we decided you couldn't build in these decade GB's was, for example, a 1960's designed/built aircraft depicted as serving in the 1970's.

Trabant? There was a jeep verion: the Kübel  (added in 1966).

A civilian version (Tramp) was added in 1978 but I suppose they could have done it earlier. Or perhaps a convertible?
