Not quite a stash increase, but these arrived today from Singapore. I eill be measuring them up to my Dora FD2, to give it a radar capability, and be able to carry and use Firestreak missiles.  Fingers crossed one fits.

My club had the annual "Festivus" party last night. We had a raffle of kits donated. I donated a DML StuG 3 and ended up bringing home an Airfix P-40B. It looks great in the box and has Pearl Harbor or Flying Tigers decals

I thought Festivus was celebrated on Dec 23rd.  How did the tests of strength go?

Today I received a 1/144 Airfix Vickers Vanguard.  Knackered box, sealed bag, three props with broken blades, cheap.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Let's see here........
If this fella has some truck models grab them and put that M88 on several truck axles. Put that M1A1HA mine plow on the front too for good measure.
Upgrade the Chaparral with some Slammers from a 1/32 aircraft.
I would suggest putting the Nagmachon Doghouse on the Korean IFV but it comes with the Centurion kit. But if you build the Nagmachon you will have a turret left over. Hmmmm....
The Panzer IV will need a turret.
This should keep you busy for a month or so!!

Old Wombat

These arrived today;

Quote from: Old Wombat on January 25, 2024, 02:20:25 AMShould be on their way from Plastic Models Store in Ukraine shortly:

1 x ICM Models 1/35 "Always The First" Figures (ICM35754) - for Ukrainian dioramas (probably end up with 2 or 3 of these)
1 x SKIF 1/35 MT-LB 6M1B3 Soviet armored vehicle (MK219) - for one of the above mentioned Ukrainian dioramas
1 x AMP 1/48 Bristol Sycamore HR 50/51 Australian (AMP 48-006) - will be RW(ish) for my 1/48 RAN FAA Museum collection
1 x ICM Models 1/48 Polikarpov I-153 Chaika (ICM 48095) - as a partner for my RW I-16
1 x Roden 1/48 British Airco (de Havilland) D.H.9 WWI (RN423) - RAM Air Arm ca. 1920-1930

I haven't looked at the Chaika or DH.9 as closely as I want to, yet, but they seem pretty decent at first glance.

These new ICM figures look excellent! Really good, crisp detail & the weapons are as close to perfect as styrene can get! Much better than MasterBox's latest offerings.
The AMP Sycamore is miles better than I was expecting &, if it all fits, is right up there with some of the best models I own.
The SKIF MB-LT is ... interesting. Detail doesn't look too bad (certainly not as bad as some had led me to believe) but it comes in 3 different coloured plastics, all with a different "feel", & a few resin pieces, plus a small fret of PE.
If it fits together, it should be a neat addition to my Ukrainian builds - plus a decent number of spare parts for The Tub.
Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

That's always a nice surprise
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A nice parcel arrived from the Netherlands this morning containing an Airfix Vanguard kit, thank you David.

Its Tyne engines will end up on my RAF Cargomaster C3, and in turn the C-133's engines will probably end up on the Vanguard, painted in an American airlines colour scheme. (NOT American Airlines though, that's too boring for words!)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Your a nutta Ken ..silly ideas and get out of my head
I've got some bad news tho..I have all the road wheels and suspension components for the M88 so I could build it completely and I did forget to mention it's got a AM interior set to so that's cool .
Again I'm having ideas 😆
As for the Nagmachon..Ken mate this thing isn't small ..it's not twice the size of the KIFV but it's close ..the KIFV is based on a M113 APC and the Nagmachon on a Centurion tank  ;D
The Nagmachon doesn't have a turret bud ..the Doghouse part is just a box with windows ..very boring actually so yep ..there's ideas 🙃🤪
