No backstory, just a hypothetical 25th anniversary scheme in 1986. Paints are Tamiya Fine White Primer, Revell Aqua Lufthansa Blue, Tamiya XF-7 red. Decal roundels were terrible, so better ones were grabbed from the stash.

Fully agree with Chris. Should have been molded in those colours.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Commem schemes are the BUSINESS! A great way to use some decent colours instead of the all-pervading GREY these days!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Half the bits were a baby blue, the other half medium grey.

And there's a possible idea for a Group Build...

Yep, that's purdy, and a good way to do a commemorative scheme too: using the kit breakdown to set the edges.

The intakes should have been the opposite colours to the wings though... ;)

Seriously thought about that, in the end it was a 50/50 decision. In retrospect that would have been better, the sides would have shown the tricolor.  :banghead:
