Superb subtlety, enough to show there is stuff under there, but not too much that the effort is wasted.

Terrific

The extra bells and whistles are really bringing her to life ! Nice.

Yeah, a practice run is always time well spent!
Quick'n'dirty still works when it's half obscured, and it takes less time and resources.

thanks guys - glad you approve! I laid down some primer tonight - looks so sleek in black! I must admit, I think this would look super hot in gloss black but alas, I have other pans

Nice shiny base coat

Now to add some colour

Are you sure that's not the interior of an F1 car?  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Ooh, that looks good! I like the shiny over the black: it'll make the shadows with the dodgy stuff in them recede and the nice bits you've added really pop. Good call!

I guess it does look a bit like a race car with all that piping. My reasoning is that it is a modified ship, with those mods requiring additional plumbing.
Works for me

Which is the most important criterion.

Nice Gizmology there!

I have difficulties trying to make things asymmetrical, yet balanced... :banghead:

It's an art form I am still learning too :)

And here's some colour! The black is still wet which is why it looks a tad shiny now but once it dries, you won't notice it.

My phone camera is really picking up the shine on the pipes - particularly the green ones, making them seem uneven in coverage. Rest assured, i the plastic, it looks even.

Got black primer down on the inside if the hull which is good.

I bought a push on/off button today from Jaycar but it's too long! Will be back in the city on Monday so will try again as I also have to buy a button cell holder

Well, that's it for now, but it's coming along nicely. I am just waiting on my LED filament to arrive and then I can get the engines done
I'll prime the upper surfaces of the ship ready for the real colour. So cant wait
See you again soon

Understatement and a half  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
