Rick duel back wheels aren't inside the original wheels base ..that's why they have fender flairs to cover em  ;D
Take a look at a chev duelie pickup and you'll see what I mean 😉

A dualie version would look strange with those small wheels!

Which one was worse - a Trabant or a Yugo? I've never seen a Trabant on the road, but I saw a Yugo on the freeway once; it was belching a dark cloud of smoke, shuddering and struggling to stay at freeway speeds.

They inflicted a few Yugos on us over here... thankfully short lived. Ditto the Lada and Niva...

Yeah, ok guys - I forgot the 2nd set of duallie wheels was on the outside...  :banghead:

There's a Lada Club in Finland: https://www.ladakerho.fi/briefly-in-english
They recently had another annual gathering not too far from me. Here's a clip from the 2013  gathering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At40pVy8qnI

... not sure if there is a Trabant Club.

There was one in Berlin in the 90s sometime. I saw a parade of them crawling up the KuDam one Sunday, and many of the spectators were applauding.

I'm not sure if they were PROPERLY applauding or doing it sarcastically................

Probably applauding like you applaud when the special kids get participation awards.

Ladas were IIRC based on old Fiat designs.  Were Yugos similar?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Lada was a copy of Fiat 124 - just more reliable and durable. I'm sure Yugo was also based on some Fiat model(s).

Hi,
Sorry these images arn't the best, but at least they give some idea of how things are progressing.  In the first image you can see how I've added just a little bit of extra framing aft of the door.  I'm going to try and fit in the back of the cab section of the truck soon between these frames and try and sand a bit of a radius into the shape.

The next picture shows the fron of the cab. Here the shape was just a little off with the front of the hood being kind of flat and the shape where the grill goes being a bit too square.  So I have added some putty/bondo and am working to sand and reshape the front end just a little.

This last image shows the bottom frame of the vehicle.  I added the new aft wheel wells that I 3D printed and have tried to putty/glue them into place and clean everything around them up.   Unfortunately I printed the wheel wells kind of thin so  that they are a bit fragle and brittle, so I've had to patch a few cracks and chips along the way.  I also decided to modify the floor of this piece a little becaue the way it was molded looked a bit off from images of the car that I have seen online.  Specifically there is a recessedsection of the floor that appeared to me to be molded too long, so I ended up cutting this piece in half and reduced/remodeled the shape of that recess a bit.  I still have some sanding and clean up to do, but I will thn eventually glues the front and back parts back together.

Hi,
Sorry I haven't had  alot of time to work on this buils as I would like, but I have been able to make a little progress  <_<

I'm currently in the process of trying to get the outside of the cab finished up, and also had a chance to get the frame mostly back together (I still need to do a little clean up on it).

I think I can almost see where it is going.

Perhaps there could be a logo on the truck?

Nooo. The KVZ logo should be used. The firm that became Plasticart.

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

This might have a better version of the KVZ logo: https://www.zinnfigur.com/out/pictures/master/product/1/5_11106.jpg
