Yes or No?

Sorted out the on/off button - so no external button or switch to be seen, and it'll be fully self contained power too - no leads :)

I'll put some button cells in a holder below the base, and to change the batteries just pull the droid out by the head - at least, that's the plan

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Disaster! Again......

I thought it was a drop of water, so I dabbed it to take it away but it wasn't water - I don't know what it was, but it ate the paint in a perfect circle.

yeah I'm miffed, but this one will be easier to fix and conceal (I hope, coz I do not have enough paint for a full panel respray!)

Engines are almost done. Just need to wash them then semi clear coat them, but they look good so far

So yeah, that's where I'm at - self-inflicted damage control yet again. I won't attempt to fix the crater until everything has dried 100%. I'm thinking a decal of sorts maybe the way to go, or maybe a PE access hatch cover can go into the recess? Not sure yet, but I have plenty of time to figure it out while the clear dries

I am really happy with the scheme. I'm glad I moved away from using black as an accent colour. This one is more fitting in a retro-kind of way. Dunno, maybe you see more Ironman than art-deco sci-fi, but that's where I'm at with it :)

Lucky you dabbed and didn't smear.  Put a transfer over it (old model car builders trick).

I like the red better in pics 1 and 3 than in 2 and 4.  Background colour affecting how the camera/phone presents the colour I presume.

Funnily enough, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have ordered some cool Star Wars insignia decals, of which I'll put one over the splotch
Yeah, my phone camera has a habit of over saturating and warming pictures, so I have to drop it down quite a lot. In sayingthat, the red is actually that full in the plastic.
The temperature on 2 and 4 is different because those were taken in my shed which is lit by LEDs which are meant to be daylight where as 1 and 3 were taken in full sun by the back door.

I did a mock up with all the remaining parts. The final fitment is going to be a challenge at best.

There is a lot of empty space between the engine and the cowling. You could add more stuff and it would be visible, but I won't be.  I know I can be a bit mad at times but I'm also not a sadist

Sadly, my eyes just can't stay off that bloody blemish. I don't know what it was that was on the panel, but it sure as s*&t wasn't water. I just have no idea where or how it came to be there.  Seriously WTF!? You ever get one of those builds where the worst possible thing will happen at the absolute worst time? Well, if not, here's a prime example of it at work in all its photographed glory.

Urgh, why did I have to do a WIP? The embarrassment factor is about as high as cheech and chong  :banghead:
