Quote from: PR19_Kit on March 19, 2024, 02:48:36 AMThe stretched He-111 fuselage idea works VERY well in this context. Matching it with Tu-95 wings of a different scale is the work of genius!

I have to agree. It just looks right

Quote from: Gondor on March 19, 2024, 05:54:00 AMBut will the wings take the strain of the dive bombing requirement that the RLM will force onto the aircraft designers?

Gondor

Yes , they are planned as a one way kamikaze mission , so dive bombing is possible with this

I need to complete the fuselage today , so i put the parts together . For a better connection i spread the backside a little bit to fit into the front part  .

If you doe this you should have some more attention for the direction of all the lines , so it went straight from every angle .

I spend some time for sanding this morning , free day for me and with the sun coming out of the clouds a perfect spot for some model zen thing ...

I found a very cheap and fast drying putty from a german car supply , so i got the second layer on the plane now .

Also the place for the wings is in progress , the original 111 wings are VERY thick at the base .

Sorry, no pix .

Third layer of putty is applicated .

I found out that the props of the 95 in 1:144 scale are to small , so i have to build 8 Props by Hand .
Only 32 blades to made ...

INDEED ! I'd be raving mad before half job.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Get the vintage VEB Plasticart 1:100 Tu-20/95 kit: it comes with four quite delicate (but working) contraprops, the blades can then be cut back to your needs . The kit frequently pops up at ev!lbay and can be found for just EUR 5,- if you are lucky.
