Unless you're moving the u/c to the fuselage, you need the kit wing.

It is.  There's quite a few modern types that use them, X-32 & F-35 in the US, J-10B, JF-17, J-20 and J-31 in China.

Cockpit coming along - seats will go in later - the previously cut up fusealge has been put back together and it is definitely a two-seater.  Hopefully fin and rudder will be fitted tomorrow.

4-week hiatus + reminder that there's barely a month before the end of this GB = finger retraction time!

So....a bit of work on the fuselage to dry fit the P.1021 (or P.1123?) fin/rudder that came courtesy of The Wooksta (cheers Lee).  The RWR fairing will be removed as in my head they're 1970s RAF not 1960s.  Work in the wings and tailplanes using Hunter parts as templates to Hawkerfy the wing and tailplane tips and to add leading edge slats (using Hunter Items - thanks Martin and Dominic) to the mainplanes.  Both wings are done.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Not sure whether I love this or hate you! :angry:  I have been planning to convert a 1/48 105 into a P.1121-esque aircraft for a while now, but I've been stuck on the intake.  :banghead:  Maybe I'll 3D print one.
