Years ago when I worked at Heli-Pro one of our occasional customers was a US Army veteran,
Vietnam in 1971-72, who had a Bell 214B Heavy Lifter that he used for freelance flying crane work, heli-logging etc. He basically lived in it during the work season and he had a sweetie of a female Rottweiler who went everywhere with him.

Quote from: zenrat on March 29, 2024, 05:47:20 AMI'm rapidly approaching the point where I will begin painting.  This is going to be tricky as I want chrome on the wheels and forks.  Easiest way is going to be to paint complete sub assemblies with Alclad and then hand paint the parts which are not shiny.

For chrome try Molotow pens: they're excellent.

Not for the spokes.  I'd never get the tip in plus they are thick enough as it is.  They need as few coats as possible of very thin paint.  Molotow chrome paint can be brushed on but it'd go on too thick.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Quote from: Old Wombat on March 29, 2024, 08:16:06 AMPigs can make very good pets, very much like dogs in nature & behaviour. So, maybe, it's the rider's pet pig.

Many years ago my brother had a piggery. The sows could be very, very dangerous and you even had to give their piglets room to escape from them at times. They had to endure the piglets ravenous nature and just wanted water all the time and would go to almost any length.

Sammy the old boar on the other hand   You could put the kids on his back and he'd happily let you lead him around the yard.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Revell Chrome spray should do the job .
But keep it as it is, No polish , no coat .
Looks excellent.

Mr Color super metallic 2 .
It's a super chrome paint which looks amazing..you can thin the hell out-of it and it still looks brilliant..and you can achieve a bloody nice chrome finish without a heap of work 😉 😀
Also ..a little bit goes a long way with this stuff .

No worries, that's a nice build.

Thanks for all the suggestions regarding chrome paint.  I'm sure they are all wonderfull products but I already have Alclad Chrome in the paint cupboard.

Oh they look pretty good mate.  I get Alclad Chrome right 1 time in 3 (truth be told its all in the gloss black undercoat).  This might be one of those times.

I want to hand paint the tyres then i'll post some pics.
