The Wooksta!

Started ages ago, abandoned for years after painting, finally finished a while back (2022).

I don't like it. Something went wrong with the varnish.

It looks similar to what happened to the Seahog.

What a shame, it's a great concept - a real double-taker, there'll be many who will think they've seen a two-seat Sea Fury and then on closer inspection realise they've been had.

Ever thought about stripping an repainting it ?

Looks OK in some of the photos. "A bit rough" in others.

I see what you mean.  Could you weather it up, a beaten airframe prior to restoration?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Simple Green should do that, it's worked on some of mine.

The Wooksta!

Is it available in the UK?

I have a recommended Mr Hobby product on order to strip something else, so I'll give it a spin here.

At least Simple Green has a UK website https://www.simplegreen.co.uk/ No idea about retailers. Hardware stores?

Simple green has multiple products. Are people referring to the "Original"?

I Googled for "simple green uk" and it would seem that it is. However I learned that it will not remove Tamiya Fine White primer from a rattle-can, in fact it seems to toughen it!  ;D
