It would be tricky now you've damaged the track guards, but I'd be tempted to add side skirts.  If only for the reason that adding skirts to tanks you don't normally see them on can radically change it's appearance (and vice versa).
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

South Korean M48K with side skirts. I knew I saw this before.

It's been a very long time since I've built a Nam tank so this is a nice change to the norm .

It's Easter Sunday here right now at nearly 7am and I'm about to have my first coffee of the day and I'm already thinking about a couple of crew members for this thing 😅
Guy gave me some links to some Aussie tank crews but they didn't quite meet my needs but they also were very helpful in seeing how these guys looked 😀 ...also the fecking cost  :o
The great things that really helped was their helmets ..the M113 crews all wore US helmets ..so a big tick there and I've also got some figures with berets..their WW2 British but that's not gonna matter as it's pretty damn close to the real thing .

I think the hat is the first thing people notice when looking at figures and working out which team they are supposed to be playing for.
You could go for the stereotype.  Slouch hats with tiny little 1/35 corks hanging from the brim...

Mossie side skirts are all well in good but not in Vietnam.
When the Aussies first got to Nam with their Centurion tanks they noticed extremely fast how useless these were.
Vegetation would get under them and get stuck in the tracks and road wheels ..mud would clog like crazy under them and they'd be ripped off the tanks while bush bashing ..so they got rid of all of em very quickly afterwards.
Even light weight vehicles like the M113 would have them removed before they'd be ripped off .

Fred I had a looksie today at our mates in Vietnam today just to get a better picture of their berets and luckily the ones I have will work beautifully for the task at hand ...im now trying to sort out their shirts and mate I can't seem to find a picture of the shirts which helps me ..the pics are either not clear or to far away to be any use at all .
I'll keep hunting tho .

I think half the time they didn't wear shirts at all!

Kiwis & Aussies wore almost identical BDU's in Vietnam, & AFV crews wore the same BDU's as infantrymen, so if you know what the Kiwi uniform of the era looked like, you know what the Aussie uniform of the era looked like.

Attached a few photo's. Hope they help.

What's that very FLAT looking tank on the left? Don't think I've ever seen one of them before.

It's Korean's indigenous K2 Black Panther, the same one the Poles are buying & building for their future tank force.

They're not usually that low to the ground, they usually look more like this;

I assume it must have something to do with its "Semi-active in-arm suspension unit (ISU) with dynamic track tension system (DTTS)" ... A sentence in which I understand the words but not the complete meaning.

Note: Looking at the initial image I see that the other K2 (just visible as the front mudguard to the far left) is also in this "hull down" position. This indicates that the tankers may release tension on the tracks by turning off the track tensioning system & dropping the hull down when not operational.

No.  That's the Lowrider Tank Corp.  You should see them working the hydraulics to get those tanks hopping... ;D

Re.  Dress.  This might help. although it is concentrating on hats.

Guy those pics are damn near perfect mate 👌
I'll have to go thru all my torsos to find a close match which I think shouldn't be to much a problem 😅

Now to edumacate you fellas a wee bit

That Semi-active in-arm suspension unit (ISU) with dynamic track tension system (DTTS)"...this suspension as ya can see raises and lowers the tank  but it can also do that from side to side..lifting one side and lowering the other..you also raise the front and lower the back ..gives the gun more elevation .
It's also has the track tension system which keeps the track tight even when it's slammed to the ground ..the K2 is an excellent chunk of armour

Fred thanks matey ..that site is quite interesting and yeah ..a crap load of hats  :o

Thanks, Phill!

Just remember, we had epaulettes built onto the shoulders of the shirts, US troops didn't. ;)

Ya welcome matey 😊
I've noticed that I'll have to add the epaulettes as they are missing on most of my figures..the British and German figures have em but they're no good ..so I'll just make em out of .25mm sheet styrene  ;D

The 2 crew men I was after have been made ..that took alot longer than I remember it used to take but I got there ..on chap has a beret and the other a boonie as is head was to big 😆

I believe the Americans shoved them, rather indecorously, into their pockets.
