If the A-1 had longer wings they could fit more pylons under them.

Just sayin'............................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

One pilot told me about strafeing a straw hut in an A-37 with one minigun in the nose and one on each wing. The straw hut literally exploded.

Ken that doesn't surprise me in the least...if say those 3 guns where firing at their max rate of 6000 rounds per minute that would be 480 rds per second ..a 3 second blast 1440 rds on target ish 😆
That's quite alot of lead 😳
I'd bet tho the RPM wouldn't be 6000 tho..probably a more sedate 1500 to 3000 rpm ...that would give ya a bit more firing time cause at 6000 rpm if ya sneezed you'd run out 😆
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

And the fact that apparently "The recoil from a 20mm minigun at 6000 rpm would've flipped a Cobra upside down" - Hugh Mills; so likely similar with anything else... no wonder they lowered the rpm...

Thanks Womby.

Two sets ordered (four pods).  One pod will go on a RW Skyraider the others?  Not on this, but probably on a Mauler and/or Skyshark.

Second coat of brown today.  Pilot cleared.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Brown covers better than grey and only needed two coats.
Likewise Forest Green.
Dark Green has had one coat.
Note that Forest Green is darker than Dark Green.  I guess it's a dark forest, like Mirkwood.

Pretty little critter. Or do you have a very big australian hand?  ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

That looks pretty sweet Fred ...are you going to chip the hell out of the paint like normal Japanese figthers or is this one kinda new to theater?

Back story is these are new build aircraft (developed post war from N1K2) supplied to South Vietnam from factory in the US zone of occupied Japan.  So no major chipping (which is often overdone on models anyway).

The Shiden was an IJN aircraft and as such built to far more stringent finish requirements. Also it was made by a company that primarily built large flying boats.

If you look at the photos of chipped up Japanese aircraft, 9 times out of 10 it's an IJA aircraft. IJA aircraft often had no primer coats, the paint being applied directly to the skin.

I've seen modellers do early and mid-war Zeros with the paint so heavily chipped it looks like a late war, used and abused IJA aircraft.

The notion that all Japanese aircraft had
paint that chipped off in sheets is a myth.
