Submersible superyachts for the super rich.

Came across this on CNN. This would be a pretty cool concept to see. I can imagine some modeler kitbashing maybe a Russian Typhoon sub (or something else) along with whatever other parts he has to create some sort of submersible yacht for a billionaire or leader of a country.

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

So what's '"beyond military grade protection" then?  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Probably that it was specified, designed and procured without anyone at the MoD having a chance to meddle or value-engineer

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Have you not heard of the renowned Danube U-Boat Pirate Flotilla?

A couple of thoughts...

They mention 'underwater shark feeding stations'... just the thing for uppity/useless crew/minions, or the odd Secret Agent awaiting disposal.

And for a second I read one of the sub-headings as 'Pirate Submersible Fortress' and thought of Our Fred...  ;)

It really is a different world they live in, isn't it?

Great, now I want to be super rich ! Would be fun tho.

Submersible Yacht. When you've got far to much money to buy a submarine.

A yacht which goes underwater is nothing new.  The trick is having one which comes back to the surface again.

This will never sell. Part of being a super rich person is "to be seen"! Maybe the super rich person will want to hide but the super rich spouse will want to flaunt it!

Ah, but when climate change REALLY kicks in the storms will be so bad the only safe way to cruise the oceans will be beneath them.
Mind you, by then the super-rich will have left planet earth in order to go f**k up Earth 2.0.

More BS vapourware just like all of the crap from Lazzarini Design Studio.

Lazzarini Design Studio

Like this bit of eye-rolling idiocy, über-megayacht with a built in 374' solar powered airship, which as shown has far too small an envelope to hold enough helium to lift it.

Set up a fancy website with glitzy graphics, make
social media posts and fake "news releases" to
Robb Report and its ilk, then sit back and wait for
the aggregators to find the crap and push it out.
The bots at CNN will pick it up and then gormless
"tech reporters" will write up a bit of fluff, that's
if they're still assigning people as it's the kind of
crap that an AI can push out 24/7.

Captain von Trapp commanded a submarine during The Great War, so there is precedent.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
