Someone has probly cast a 1/25 Daisy.  You can get Bay City Cops (Starsky and Hutch) in scale so I don't see why Good Old Boys and Relatives (Beau, Luke, Daisy, and Jesse) wouldn't be available.  Actually, a diorama of Uncle Jesse being helped into the General Lee through the window would look quite good...

I did a quick image search for Cooter's Tow Truck and it is immediately obvious that MPC just slapped new decals into an existing kit.  How do I know this?
The Cooter's Tow Truck seen in the TV shows is a Ford...

My own fave figure model, actually my ONLY figure model, is a white metal rendering of the girl in the black & white striped dress from ZZ Top's 'Gimme All Your Lovin' vid.  ;D  :thumbsup:

When I finally work out how to paint her I'll do so, along with building the kit of their car 'Eliminator', with lots of add-on details.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

I dunno, James Best was consistently entertaining as Rosco in an over the top comedy villain kind of way.

How to show my age, I'm afraid the only Daisy Duke I remember is Jessica Simpson...

Yeah, agreed. And when they spun Enos off into his own series, it was a bit of a jar to see a somewhat competent Rosco when he guested.

Maybe it was being away from Boss' influence?

Sent the day getting the WOT8 show ready.  I've been painting cargo for it (needed something to hide the sink marks in the load bed) but yesterday decided to re-mount the tailgate at a flatter angle and replace the plastic mirror stems with wire (having snapped and reglued the LH mirror about a gazillion times - OK maybe four).
It really needs a figure and a section of road for a base but they will have to wait.  I'll display it on a piece of red slate.

We have a mixed cargo of fuel, water, vodka, a drum of something, and stuff in crates.  I've shown it in the process of being loaded or unloaded so I don't have to bother strapping it all down.

And, seeing as it is still extremely fragile I have made it a little travelling nest out of an old roofing bolt box.

Nicely civilised! :thumbsup:

Kinda reminds me of this (although I'm not sure the colour photo is ridgy-didge, too many differences to the B&W photo);

Although Tom Kruse is more commonly associated with his 1936 Leyland Badger;

There also appears to have been a third truck;

Cool shots.

And nothing to say he didn't upgrade from one model of CMP to a later one... Or throw another cab on the original chassis.

Old Wombat

No idea. I only know that he's most famous for the Badger, which he drove from 1936, as an employee of the original haulage company, until 1957, by which time he owned the haulage company, when he dumped it at one of the stations on the route after it finally died. (It was recovered & restored in the 1990's, & is now in the National Motor Museum in Birdwood.)

Tom sold the business that same year, so I'm guessing the other vehicles were "spares" for when the old girl couldn't make the run.

Lots of inspiration there.  Thanks.

WOT8 got third in the Truck - Rigid class at Ballarat.  I'll be taking it to Expo.  Hopefully with a figure seated on the tailgate - started working on one today.
