Right I've been using Google Chrome as my browser for the last x years and it's been fine but recently the thing has got so slow I've had to switch to Microsoft.

Now my question is this. Why when using Google are my posts automatically spell-checked before I hit the "Post" button, but when using Microsoft they aren't ? I'll be darned if I can see anything I need to click in settings etc, but then I'm not up to speed using technology  :-\  To many years of having an IT department and screaming "Elvis" (my IT lad) I'm afraid.

Any help would be appreciated as my spelling is awful.  :-\

Thanks in advance

Chris

PS - I'm getting my mates IT savvy grandson to have a look at my Google for me.

Chris,

In Edge, when you go to settings, select "Languages" and scroll down to writing assistance.
Is this checked?

I've noticed this on my Chinese made tablet that it checks the spelling although the Google package isn't the latest version, however on my Samsung tablet with the cracked screen it's fine as long as I keep adjusting the brightness of the screen as it has a tendency of going to the dark side every so often. It was secondhand when I got it back in 2021.
