All fingers and toes crossed for you

Putting together all the decks that will be above the engine torus. So there are now:

Deck 6: Hangar
Deck 7: Crew Quarters
Deck 8: Crew Quarters

And of course I wanted to see how it looks with the engine torus, even if it is not completed. So far everything fits to its place as it should.

Here we have now:

Deck 3: FTL Drive
Deck 4: Lower engine torus
Deck 5: Upper engine torus (WIP)
Deck 6: Hangar
Deck 7: Crew Quarters
Deck 8: Crew Quarters
Deck 9: Cafeteria (WIP)

Next to build will the the cafeteria deck - the most important place in the ship (according to the Rebans).

Assembly of the cafeteria deck now has been started.
The kitchen area has the first components added

Besides this, 3D construction of the science deck made some progress. It seems as this one will be quite tricky to build.
This deck will have some laboratories, airlock, observatory and the main computer room. also, some cabins for the human advisors are also located here.

So, here we have: Computer room (black), Observatory (yellow), Lab 1 (magenta)

Both labs (magenta) and the transparent red part will be the cabin sector

Blue will be the air lock

And everything seen from above.

Now I have to see if this is really printable.

Good move, putting the Humans next to the airlock!

Not so far to drag them when they've caused enough trouble that the Rebans decide it's time to throw them out.

I'm finding this whole process fascinating

After the basic 3D construction of the science deck is done, I now have to test if it is printable at all. So here is a test print of the walls and subdivisions for the science deck

In the meantime, the components of the engine torus are printed with the resin printer, starting with the main engines.

And, I wanted to see how all the decks made so far fit together...

So, currently construction is going on for three decks:
1) Cafeteria: Final assembly
2) engine Torus: Printing of parts
3) Science deck: Constructing and testing

Indeed and the engine prints are terrific

Mind you looking at all those tiers I wonder if Mr Nonobar dabbles in making wedding cakes as a sideline ?  ;D

The assembly of the cafeteria deck continues, while I still have to do various tests for the science deck:

The cafeteria kitchen is now complete, and there is already a Reban chef inside, preparing some food for the hungry Rebans.

I have to find a way for the science deck that is printable, easy paintable and of course makes sense in its subdivision. So the best will be to print the "upper" part with the cabins separately, The current version odes not fit quite good, some 0,2 mm most be made differently. But this is why I am testing it.

Cool?

It's positively frozen SOLID!   :o

I've never been so gasted as I am when I'm looking at Nonobar's variously printed 'levels' of this project, the whole thing is beyond awesome!
