Ah, South Uist, a place I have travelled through many a time having been stationed on Benbecula twice for my sins.

That sounds like a very nice way to spend an hour  <_<  And with what you've said of him previously, it sounds like you should take those times when you get them...

Yup, we know cats in particular are taking the P, but we still love them  ;)  ;D

The thing is, on days like today when I almost trip over him coming in when I am trying to go out to work, when I get home he often wants to go out. Probably in complaint that I was not there to top up his food or whatever.

And that's exactly what happened. He did decide to hang around for a bit and then I hear him outside later, the bell on his collar and his name tag rattling against each other let me know he was around. Ended up with him sleeping on me as I reclined on the sofa watching MasterChef last night. No signe of him this morning though.

Earlier today I finished packing another set of boxes and put them into the loft. That's a total of forty-four boxes up there now with five hundred and eighty-seven kits for an average of thirteen and a third each. I was also checking each box when I catalogued which box it was going into so that I knew if there were extras in the box or not. I found I think it was inside a Hasegawa F-15E box, a Flying Leathernecks Belly Strap for either a Hasegawa or Revell F-4E/G/S/J(UK) which I had totally forgotten that I had. So that is going with the F-4J(UK) I have planned to build.
I actually have space on the racking I have in my room now! It's not going to stay that way of course. There are lots of desks etc that need clearing of various items that have accumulated on them. An order was placed with EBMA for some storage to improve the mess that is the modelling bench. So until that arrives and is built I am going to be shuffling items around on shelves and racks in an attempt to maximise the amount of space I now have.
I was also at my mum's this afternoon. She showed me my dad's will and the death certificate and we chatted about various things. I also forwarded an email my mum had received to myself, I could not get the pictures that were attached to the email to open and then print on my mum's PC, so I managed to do that at home and take them round to her later. I also got to pick some books that my father had, so I got the Skylark series by E.E. Doc Smith which I gave him some forty-odd years ago and a couple of others as well, Leslie Charteris; Call for the Saint, 1066 and all that and Edgar Rice Burroughs Swords of Mars. So that's me sorted for reading material for a while.

Nice to recycle books, and reacquaint yourself with old favourites. And it keeps them in the family.

Read all the Skylark series. It were those that got me into sci-fi - adventure   Still got them

Been feeling a bit low recently. It got so bad yesterday at work I came home at lunchtime. Decided not to go in today which has proved to be a wise move as I have been feeling up and down most of the day so far. My cat Spot, came home this morning about the time my alarm went off, but when I would have loved him to snuggle up beside me on the bed, he decided to go and sleep on the sofa.
I have been trying to keep myself busy and have progressed with the tidying up of the model room. I have even managed to clear enough desk space to put up my spray booth.

Somebody claimed it though  :-\  Typical

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Quite normal given the circumstances.
The best cure for mild depression is actually physical exercise, so regardless of weather, I would suggest you go for a longer walk. It doesn't have to be any fancy at all, but for some reason it doesn't only wear you out a bit, helping with sleep, but it also kind of "lubricates" the mind so you'll be able to process what's weighing you down in a better and much more controlled way.

Take care, and if in need - drop me a line. I'll be standing by.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Cat's Rule #1 :- "Any box will do"  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
