Thanks Jon.  I actually found that pic while looking for OD B'17s with the green camo patches.  It's what got me thinking about an OD C-97.

After consulting pics of Memphis Belle I put on some green patches.  I've kept it limited to the wings and leading edges of the stabilisers because I think it looks best that way.  I'll fade it down using the same technique as the OD.
I'll have to come up with a name and nose art for this one.  Bouncing Betty?

I've hit the airframe with clear gloss today prior to transfers.
I also designed the nose art.  I was limited by what girlies I could find to use that were on a plain background, were period correct(ish), and would fit in the space between the windows.

I came up with this.
