Finish the three key builds.  The Silbervogel is done, with the Contrail 390 coming on, only the Hanneubu has stalled.

I have three partial whiff builds jostling for attention alongside a couple of (ssh!) real subjects.
My plan is to ... er, um, yes that's it! 

32 builds are waiting for painting and decals, three just need PSR and then they are ready for the next step. Shelf space has been allocated as a temporary measure until the wall racking becomes permanent.

The BAe Systems Tempest looks like a doable kitbash, I think that there's a resin kit available but it hasn't hit the stores in a way that the F-35 or F-22 has.
The Tempest seems to have taken the best parts of some jet fighters and kitbashed them into something new.
I'm guessing the YF-23,  F-105, F-101, F-22 and F-35 depending on what side you're looking at it.
Makes me reach out for the Airfix Lockheed YF-22 Lightning II model kit which comes with the tail and wings separated from the fuselage. There's enough space under the cockpit canopy for a backseat or you can opt for the side-by-side seating if you have a spare F-111 or T.55 Lightning.
The wings do have the F-101 Voodoo look about them with the F-105 air intakes,  the twin tail fins reminded me of the YF-23.
I've built the Airfix YF-22 Lightning II but couldn't get the landing gear to fit but the Airfix F-35B landing gear seems to work.  The YF-22 does lend itself to being cut up for a weapons bay and two fuselage side weapons bays. Which can be tailored made for your missiles and bombs.
Plus the kit is not that expensive.

As the GB season has started I'm leaning towards the Catalina flying boat designs that weren't built or the Sea Hercules. This could have a pair of very large floats former Catalinas fitted under the wings, just need an extension to the rear loading ramp.

Get Ju 390 number three assembled.  I have the bits, but have yet to start looking at the cuts.  The wing is easy enough, the fuselage less so.

There was a proposal for an FB-22 nuke bomber as sort of an FB-111 replacement. As I recall there was a fuselage extension which provided a bigger bomb bay/missile bay. Also a much larger delta wing.

6. Build a Testor 1/72 scale B-2 stealth bomber into Santa Clauses's next Christmas present delivery vehicle for a humorous diorama display.
7. Build a V-22 Osprey into a US Navy Antisubmarine variant.
8. Build/convert a Squadron 1/72 scale Haunebu German flying saucer model into a Doctor Who Dalek flying saucer spacecraft model.
9. Build/convert an old 1/72 scale Testor SR-75 Penetrator into a B-3 hypersonic stealth bomber aircraft.
10. Way, way, way down the road on this, but was thinking of converting the very old Revell 1/72 scale B-2 Advanced Technology Bomber kit into a stealthy aerial refueling tanker aircraft.

I didn't have any problem with the wings  but, you're right about the undercarriage. I used modified main landing gear from the carcase of a Monogram 1/48 B-58. Even though different scales, the huge size of the SR-75 model means the replacement bits scale in nicely

McColm was refering to #10. Not #9.
