The Class 43 aka HST 125 was a very popular locomotive in the style of an engine at either end of the carriages/coaches these have been replaced with diesel-electric, electric but they keep breaking down so we're using diesel on the British mainline. A few are used on regional lines.
Export customers include Australia with a few modifications but why not the USA, infrastructure being one of the stumbling blocks as freight takes priority and its quicker to fly.
In Whiffland these obstacles are insignificant as the whiffer can chose what livery they like and what gauge they prefer within reason.
A few of the railway model manufacturers have tried 'whiffing ' using other train operators and the Midland Blue Pullman is popular.
I've had a go at the Northern Belle Pullman which is printed adhesive sheets but I will try and colour match in acrylic paint.
At the moment I'm concentrating on the bodyshells in 00 or ho gauge until such times as I can afford a working power car. There are kits for the lighting and sound in analogue or digital models come already equipped with headlights and tail lights, a sound card can be bought.

The Midland Blue Pullman HST isn't a Whiff, a private operator bought a set from GWR and painted it just like that, and fitted it with a very high class interior. They run charter trips using it, but they're pretty expensive!.

Their website's here :- https://midlandpullman.com/trips-tours/
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I've watched a video on YouTube which shows the food served on board and the excursion in Scotland.

I think an HST in the LMS Duchess of Hamilton Maroon could look quite natch. Especially as one doesn't need to include the Hi-vis yellow panels anymore. An LNER apple green scheme could look quite special as well.
