I have just found the missing Freighdog version along with the Airfix kit I was mating it to. Lee that would be great, I will put them onto something else, maybe a Mustang or Thunderbolt.

How about a P-38 with TWO Eagles?  ;)

Or a Mossie even?

Or better yet, a Hornet?  :o

Interesting thought, maybe a Welkin or re-engine a Canberra?

I've had a Griffon engined Welkin under build for at least 5 yrs, but I started with a vacform, so that wasn't the best start................

Nothing wrong with the Hallamvac Welkin, although given the complex u/c mine may well go wheels up.

Mine was moulded in rather thin styrene, so needed some extra layers added in places. A bit fiddly, bit it's all the right shape.

The second new lamp for my workbench turned up earlier this evening. I just need some more storage from EBMA and the upgraded workbench will be just about complete.

Take the victories where you can... And progress is progress, even when it's finding regurgitated Carpet Monster stuff!

Gondor

That was a short-term triumph. An hour after getting up this morning and so far I have attempted to put my socks on at least three times. I was standing chatting with a neighbour yesterday evening, I think that is what has done my back in again. Hope I can get my socks on tomorrow so I can go to the doctor's for a sick line as tomorrow is my last day of self-certification.

Well that was a metaphorical song and dance! An hour and a half after getting up I am fully dressed! Socks and shoes are on!! I have also ordered one of those sock assist things off Amazon as I have Prime so that will arrive tomorrow. I now have a chance to live life as normally as my back will allow me, I can even go shopping if I have to.
Thinking that I may retire to the living room later today and continue watching the original tv series of Mission Impossible.

Madame R is using "one of those sock things"  whilst waiting for her second hip replacement.  They take a degree of practice to use, but once you've got the hang of it, dressing is much faster.  She finds a long handled shoe horn useful, too.

Putting my footwear on is not a problem, just awkward to tie the laces. The extra few inches between the bridge of the foot to the tips of my toes are just a few inches too far at the moment.

That almost sounds like the title of a film. "An Inch Too Far"

Socks on with less problem this morning!
Rubbish nights sleep as the pain is more localised and just happens to be near my left side which I sleep on quite a bit. I can't stand for any length of time either, but I have been like that for a couple of days now. I think there is some progress. I am going to the open surgery at my Doctor's in a bit over an hour to see about getting a sick line because today is the last day of my self certification days and there is no way I am going to work like this. I would end up worse off!
