I have and it's not practical. I got a sick line this morning for a week so I don't need to be back at work until the eleventh.

I received notification that my package from EBMA is on its way so the final reorganising of my workbench and my paint storage should be done by the time I go back to work. Assembling the modules and moving the tins of paint into them is not exactly back-breaking work, and I can take a break from doing that whenever I want! The moving of the paint into draws means that more egg boxes and FERRERO Collection boxes can be emptied which frees up a shelf or two in the bookcase next to my modelling bench. This in turn means that other things such and jigs and large tools can be stored on one of the shelves.

This is becoming a frighteningly well organised workspace!!   Just remember, every time people "tidy up"  they can't find any given object for days afterwards.     Enjoy using your newly neatened bench.

No idea about well-organised, more evolved mixed with some trial and error and a touch of luck.

I received an email saying that my package from EBMA will arrive tomorrow
I have decided today to move the two vertical racks for 17ml dropper bottles onto the side of another unit thus freeing up space above the bench. There is space for a third rack if needed as well which is good.

Chiropractor.  I wouldn't be half as mobile as I am without mine.
Walk away though and try another if they claim they can do anything other than fix your back.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I have completed a small part of the reorganizing of the modelling bench/room

Rather than having all my HATAKA paint next to the workbench, I have moved them to the side of a unit that is next to the door into the room.

There is space below the two racks for a third and probably a fourth rack if absolutely necessary.

All the bottles with the blue tops are brush paint HATAKA while the Black tops belong to their air-brush paint. The bottom row of blue tops are all the doubles and an occasional triple of a colour from the top section.

Doubles and Triples are a good idea to avoiding running out in the middle of a project.

And when you said "More paint racks if absolutely necessary", what you meant was "In the Fulness of Time", didn't you?  ;)

That is a possibility I suppose

You now have me looking at the other side of the unit to see how many racks can be fitted there  ;D

My package arrived from EBMA late this afternoon and I already have two of the four units together and in place. Admittedly it's the two simplest units that are together. The two I am going to take a bit more time over are both three-draw units for standard enamel paint tins. Unfortunately one of the three-draw units didn't have any magnets with it. These, if positioned correctly, will help each unit stay nice and snug against each other so that opening a draw does not mean a tower of units can come crashing down on you.

Almost finished assembling the units from EBMA, just a couple of draws to glue together. Unfortunately one of the sets of draws didn't have any magnets with it. Each of the units comes with six magnets, most of mine have four large magnets and two small ones. The large magnets go into the top and bottom panels with the small ones fitting into the side panels. They are just a push fit although I have been finding that the holes in the bottom plate needed a run around with a file to help the magnets fit.
I might be in a position to start modelling again by the start of next week.  :o

OK, I am calling the tidying up and upgrade of my modelling room effectively done!

First, a few pictures to show the evolution of the room.

Way back in the mists of time, 21st of April 2020 in fact!

Next up is 15th January 2022,

and lastly the 9th January 2023.

The bench doesn't exactly get any tidier, even though bookcases have been bought and placed on either side of the bench for storage.

Now, onto how it looks now.

Let's start by the door and work in an anti-clockwise direction. Yeah, I know it's a bit odd going in that direction, it just happens to be easier to follow the photographs this way, so bear with me and enjoy the pictures. No extra points for counting the number of models or kit boxes in the pictures.

And then the opposite end of the room

Lastly a picture of the bench with all of the three lights around the bench on and just daylight from behind me and my camera.

Now, the question is what to build, or even complete?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That's a MASSIVE improvement!!

I find it somewhat amusing to see that someone else than me is sitting on several unbuilt Boeing C-135/E-3 derivatives in God's Own Scale. We shall build them! (But we haven't the faintest about where to store them once that's done..)  ;D

PR19_Kit

That's FAR to tidy to do any actual work in Alastair, so go on, show us where you REALLY build them now.  ;D

I'd noticed that stashlet of C-135/E-3s too and wondered where Alastair was intending to put them when they were built. I've only got one, an EC-135N, and it's HUGE in 1/72!  :o

I MIGHT have two E-3's, two RC-135's and two KC-135's. Then again, I might not confess to really owning that after all, in particular when someone starts to discuss shelf space..
