So...another one is finished.

This time 1/32 Hasegawa F-86 Sabre in Navy scheme and V-84 markings. Only add-ons re seatbelts, seat cushion and arresting hook.
I couldn't tightly fit rear part of fuselage without glue. I think I'll glue it someday but I leave it removable for now.

Nice work!

Pity about the poor fit of the rear fuselage, but the engine looks great!

Phew, that looks amazing.

Would that be an FJ-2.5 or a 3.5 though?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I say spectacular!

There must be a story behind why the Jolly Rogers were flying a Sabre, and not a Fury.  Also, I think they were not called Jolly Rogers, In Real Life, at the time when they had the Fury. Enquiring minds...   ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very nice.
My brother and I both built that kit in the '70s. I did the JASDF release and Tom built

Neither, the Hasegawa kit is an F-86F-40 with the slatted 6-3 wing and extended wingtips.
;)

The first three FJ-2s, the two NA-179 XFJ-2s and the XFJ-2B, were modified F-86E. The XFJ-2s had arresting and catapult gear and extended nose gear struts, the XFJ-2B was used for armament tests and had the four 20mm cannon installed but it did not have any mods for carrier ops.
None of them had the canopy and cockpit modifications of the production FJ-2 nor, obviously, the increased main undercarriage track and folding wing. They basically look like blue F-86Es, especially the XFJ-2B.
The FJ-3 is basically an FJ-2 with a Sapphire and 6-3 "hard wing" (no slats).

All that said, for a number of reasons the USN finds itself with a hole in the lineup and need an interim type as a fighter, so they order slightly navalized F-86F-40s as the FJ-5. Command declares that they'll only operate off of the bigdeck carriers so the lack of the forward fuselage visibility modifications is not an issue.
;D

Whatever.

I want to see an FJ-6, that'd be a navalised F-86D.  ;D
