No wonder you need a summer cottage!

If I remember correctly, I bought a lot of them from a model shop in Bedford in the late 80's. There is also a 1/72 B-36 in the model room, not to mention the odd member of the B-29 family as well

And it's nice to reacquaint oneself with all the stuff that's just been piling up over time.

Mine still looks like a tip, so I won't subject you all to the sight.
One day, I really will get it sorted... yeah, I'm not sure I'm even kidding myself... 

I don't have any C-135 variants in the one true scale but I do have a "big jobs" cupboard containing a Tu 22, a C-97, a Pe 8, a Renzan, a Shack, two YS-11s, a Marlin, a B-47, and a B-36.  All 1/72.

And then there is the 1/144 Lun...

I'm in a good place at the moment, what with a reorganised model room, even better now as I have made a couple of adjustments. I have swapped the contents of a couple of shelves in the bookcase to the left of the bench. I had some reference books on a fairly low shelf, which are now on the next shelf up and the bagged kits that were on that shelf are now one shelf lower down, so much easier to read the titles on the spines of the books now, and no bending to get at them either. I have also moved a few things around on the tabletop as the cat-scratching box which I am using to hold painted items on sticks was a bit too big to have on the left side of the table, it's now on top of the paint racks at the back of the table.
I have even dug out a part-finished model to continue with. My MB5 was dug out, and had some filling and sanding done then the fuselage joint had a coat of paint which I shall redo tomorrow in a much darker colour so when sanded back I will see any errors that need attention. I will probably be doing the same tomorrow with the swift as well.

Well that went well 

Yesterday evening my back started to hurt again. Then last night after getting up to visit the bathroom at roughly 3:15 am, I had great difficulty in getting to sleep due to the constant ache from my back. So I reset my alarm when I woke again at what I think was 5:20 for 7 am so I could phone in sick which I did. At the time of writing this, just after 9 am, I have just phoned my Doctors for an extension to my sick line and have been told that if I do not hear back from them then I can pick up the sick line after 4 pm.

I'm no doctor but maybe try a few sessions with a chiropractor like Fred suggested. If there's something misaligned, it can cause some muscles to overstretch or become atrophied and that may be the source of your problem.

I'm going to book another appointment with my Doctor. This has been going on long enough.

Well as expected no miracle cure. My idea of two good days means that I should be fit to go back to work is sensible according to the Doctor, so I shall stick with that and I have sent an email to work saying that as well. He did say that it was my Lumbar muscles that were playing up, nice to be able to put a name to the problem.

Not been up to much. I started back at work on Wednesday, everyone was very understanding and my boss was quite happy for me to take breaks as needed by my back. Modelling wise not much has happened either. I have sorted through my part-built Hunters to make sure that nothing had gone away with the tidying up of the model room. I managed to find a fuselage that was fully closed up and the wings were fitted then I managed to find the box with the rest of the build in it. I am looking forward to finishing a few models over the next couple of months, and now I have a tidy bench I am going to keep it relatively clean by keeping the number of builds down to two at a time, maybe three depending on the subjects.
