Good question. The one the 'Dad' is holding is a side by side twin engined aircraft with a long spine, and the only one that comes to mind is a Marut! But that'd be most unlikely really.........  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The fin's too skinny for a 'B-52, maybe a B-47? I remember building that Revell 'Fit the box' kit myself in 1953 or so.

I think the correct answer is XF-90, as given in he ARC link.

We're all assuming they bothered to put the correct wing and fuselage parts together... 'Just stick some bits together, it only has to look good for the 15 seconds or so of screen time.'
