Just a spur of the moment whim really.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A major milestone was passed earlier - the tailplanes are now on and the roots filled and sanded back.  Also got the fins on and have left the filler curing.

I'm hoping to get the wings on later this week and the whole thing primed by the weekend.

Filler on the fins has been sanded back and having managed to get a break in the rain, I got some primer on the back end.  All looks good so if it stays dry for an hour or so, I might get a wing or two on.

Pics will follow in a few days.

Filled the same as before.  Plastic card and superglue, then P38.  The tape is to protect some of the surface detail.

And the big reveal...

I've given the roots a coat of primer and there's some tidying up to do, but a major milestone passed.  Still a great deal of work to do, but I can make out light at the end of the tunnel.
