AN/APG is a designation, the same as "F" or "A" (F-15, A-10), and isn't a "series", so each system will be completely different

Thanks for that info Devilfish. Confirms what I had suspected, easier to just come up with my own radar designations rather than try and shoehorn a quart into a pint pot  :thumbsup:
