Have you opened the box? If so, what do you think of the kit? TIA

MPM 1/72 Mustang IA arrived from the bay of E today. Just need to find some appropriate RAF markings as this boxing only comes with USAAF ones. May try and search out the Brengun Mustang I to compare too...

Yes I have

It looks nice although I am not sure about the Die Cut Vynal masks for painting that are supplied with their own three-page instruction booklet  :o

The transparent parts are in a gold-tinted plastic, which saves you having to tint them yourself. The panel lines are nice and restrained and the detail looks good. Lots of separate parts that represent the hinges of the various doors. One of the options is to have the wing tips folded or not which would add visual interest to the model, especially if the markings were either British or Australian.

Being an Italeri kit it should be fairly easy to get hold of, at least in Europe for some time which is nice. Going by the quality of what I have seen, I have only opened the box but not the bags inside, I hope they produce the other two versions as well.

Thanks!  For some reason i can't see the pics, though...  :-\
Italeri already have the A and B kits out, they came a few years ago, Tamiya also reboxed the B.
I've built the A kit and by what i saw on the pics available on Superhobby, the kit is pretty much the same, with the different fuselage and weapons parts.
The first A kit came with no ordnance or pylons but they did those for the B and then released a "Beast mode" A kit before this C variant.
Still, seems like it's gonna come out at almost 50€ for me so, having the Orange hobby F-35C in the stash, i think i'll be waiting for better prices or for Hasegawa to come out with their C variant to compare.

Stopped at an antique shop in Stoney Creek, New Brunswick, not expecting any models. But there in a case was an Airfix Skyraider. Inventoried it, partially built and everything seems to be in there. Snapped it up. Floats, maybe?

Floats and wingtip tanks.
FAA or one based on a refurb British Battlewagon, like a UK version of the Seahawks but more capable.

I built one in 2014.   Float is from a Kingfisher (lengthened) which is almost certainly too small for a Spad.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'd forgotten that one... but in my defense, it *was* 10 years ago... where did it all go?

Another mecha purchase, yet only a body donor for a vague kitbashing project, based on a (probably whiffy, because I haven't found any reference in official sources) Illustration I came across while googling. In this case it was/is an affordable (because it's ugly) chromed Macross 1:100 destroid Spartan from Arii. I hope I can "clean" the parts with oven cleaner or brake fluid from the chrome coating. We'll see...

The Wooksta!

Several bottles of paint to finish the Ju 390 and the KG200 Condor.
There's also the Valom Anson and some Mosquito decals on order.

Just got back from the Nationals in Madison, WI. I probably spent too much but what the heck! Here's a list.

1. ICM kit of the Kozak-001 MRAP style truck for the Ukrainian National Guard.     $42.00 The nice Ukrainian ladies at the ICM display made me do it.
2. Italaerei (that's the way its spelled on the box) Patton M47 tank                        $12.00 Because I've wanted one for a long time.
3. Tamiya M60A1E1 1/48th Starship version which ended up as the M60A2.            $10.00 I may copy the engine deck for my future M41 Assualt gun. This included the electric motor and tracks for real motorization. I went back for the straight M60 kit but it was gone.
4. Custom Dioramics 1/72nd Marston mat/PSP cast base.                                     $20.00 For the whopper chopper
5. Elf Productions headlight set                                                                           Free For the Junkyard Dog.
6. ICM USAAF Pilots and ground crew 1/48th.                                                      Free The nice Ukrainian ladies were handing them out. They could end up in my Ian McQue build.
7. Eduard M1126 Stryker photo etch in 1/35                                                        $10.00 Junkyard Dog gunshields and other stuff.
8. Voyager Model Modern Stryker Rhino and radio antenna photo etch.                  $10.00 Junkyard Dog stuff.
9. Legend Productions 40mm ammo cases                                                           $10.00 Junkyard Dog.
10. Legend Production M24 Chaffee stowage set.                                                  $10.00 Junkyard Dog and other tanks. Hey, a bedroll is a bedroll.
11. Someones left over ACAV gunshield and turret from an M113 kit                      $2.00 Could end up on the M41 Assault Gun
Everything is 1/35 unless noted.

Question: What color is a US ammo can?

Its electro plated aluminium and muratic acid will take it off in a couple of minutes. Use the usual safety precautions. You could probably water it down some and still work and be a little less hazardous.

A & A Models 1/144 Antonov AN-22.Not cheap and, I'm not a 1/144 fan but, one needs to be practical. It's big even in that scale and, I think it will look gorgeous in RAF Sand/Stone/Black finish. I hope to acquire a second and, paint in the "fields and meadows" scheme used by the Swedish Air Force.
Also, A Models Sukhoi T-49. I'll need a couple of nice big missiles for it. Any suggestions? I'm not very well versed in early Soviet AAMs

I think your lawyer might advise you to replace the word "probably" with "possibly" in any official communication  ;)
