Yeah, I wrote that.  and to be honest I did no research, I just remembered the look of his builds and knew I had used a sky blue myself when I built the Mitsuberican KP5146 Bitang based on his drawing.

ISTR he used a Humbrol enamel.  But I am often wrong.

There will be no judgement of paint shades.  Use whatever you deem appropriate,

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'm going to use Plastikote Baby Blue. It seems about right to me purely from my memory of Tophe's builds.

when doing this :

I thought it might be relevant for the The In Memoriam Group Build,
especially regarding Tophe, as this is :

- assymetric

- challenging the laws commonly associated to the phenomena of physics

but then I have started it before july 1st.

It would have certainly fit the theme   and serves as a great example.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It's very nice Eric.
How much work had you done on it before July 1st?

well, quite everything actually  ;)
it just took some time to sort out and post pictures

but I now have another idea for him,
based on an old built incomplete BV141 I once got in a lot ...
asymetry will be there, and kitbash as well (incompletenes forces it somehow  ;) )

Thats good.  I don't think this GB will really be complete without you.

I have been thinking a bit slowly, but from the very beginning  ;)

remembering Tophe is emotional to me, for his general contributions,
and for the more personal exchange we had

zenrat

I get a bit sad every time I look at an old thread and see the comments he had made about one of my builds.

He certainly left us a legacy

ill put this here as it seems every time i look one of the builds in the group build has added something, and they are all awesome.

you are all outdoing yourself s folks

Yes, exactly!

And it's the same with Robert's comments too, but he and I had loads of PMs, mostly about decals, as well. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Robert and I had quite a few PMs here and on BTS, mostly about technical stuff that was a bit esoteric
general topics. I also shared some Boeing drawings/data that I wasn't comfortable with publicly posting.
;)
We also met in person back in 2012 when he and family were down in the US on holiday, they put a lot
of miles on his truck that summer.

Every time Tophe would post a new build my mind would always wonder what he'd come up with this time and as you blokes know all to well every one was a surprise 😮
There was no limits in his mind which would seem to be traveling ten times faster than our own ones because everytime we'd come up with a new idea Tophe's got ten ..damn I do miss that dude .
I only knew Robert for a short time compared to the rest of ya but did get a couple of comments on my builds from him and returned the favor to..another Gent I'll miss here .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
