Nearly got the masking to do the 70 on.  Just the tailfins to do now and they are VERY awkward. I'll be swerving the whole issue on t'other one by them being all black.

I'll spray the props at the same time, but I'm unsure if the fans are in 70 or 02.  In addition, do I go for black spinners?

I'll post pics later.

Masking all done and it's had two coats of 70.  Looks rather good.

Now I have to do it all over again to do the Black underneath...

The 70 is on but I can't go any further until it's masked again, which I'll be doing tomorrow.  Then Ineed to add the two blisters that cover the spar attachment points.  These are in a mould that's curing as I need copies for the Contrail one.

Halfway through masking for the underside and this is even more of a nightmare than I thought.  You need a second pair of arms.... Just the engines and wing leading edge to do and then I have to glue the wing blisters and Trappoklappe hinges on.

The 70 on.  Masking for the black not yet done here.

It was at this stage I realised that another coat of 70 in some areas may be wise.

Today, after a marathon masking session, the black is on.  Still drying though.

So a coat of gloss underneath and we can possibly start decalling soon.

That's a LOT of black!  :o

About half a bottle of the Humbrol acrylic dropper bottles.  It's an odd paint, as even thinned it's still really gloopy but sprays nicely and has a nice flat finish. I did the transport Condor in it yesterday.

Given it another coat, as a quick scan in daylight highlighted a few areas that needed redoing.

Masking taken off and barring three tiny areas that need a respray, it's looking good. A coat of gloss underneath and the decals can go on.

Cleaned up and primed the undercarriage doors.  The really tiny ones are a nightmare to handle.  They'll get sprayed at the weekend, as well as the props as they need a second coat.  The spinners may need another coat of black and then glossing.
The fans got primed, but I'm unsure what colour they need to be - 70, 02 or plain aluminium. The fans in several photos are lighter than the cowls.

The other thing that needs some attention is the wheels, as they need the axle mounts drilling out.

It's sitting on the box it's going to live in once done in several photos.  It's quite a handy table.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
