first new entry from our new home. so far its been a week since the moving started. my PC isnt hooked up yet, so im using my wife's old laptop for the time being (although its slow, outdated, and the "D" key barely works).

the new workspace still needs to be built, priority is now for the bedrooms and living room. so far, with the exception of lighting, my son's bedroom and the garage are mostly done. the workspace is last-priority at this moment.

but hey, lets get to the modelmaking part already. from all my built projects, with the exception of 3 or 4 broken tailwheels (repairable), pretty much all of them survived the move  (with the exception of older ones that have been scrapped or broken up for parts).

i cant wait to get my workspace up and running again so i can get back at it.

more soon.......

we'll be going through all of that at some point in the very near future 😱

My wife and I have been debating whether to buy a different house. Something with no stairs is becoming more important as the years go by. But the thought of moving is quite a deterrent so far. And finding something equivalent in value would by nice.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Blog Entry #337

its been a while, so i thought i would give an update.
the new workspace is making good progress (havent had much time to get it ready), the first boxes of kits are now shelved, aswell as the completed models and the  library.

still need to unpack the other kits, paints, tools,....

meanwhile, in between, i started prepwork for new builds in 1/144.
these are:

Realworld:

-F-4K Phantom FG.1 (Royal Navy)
-Sea Fury FB.10 (conversion of Revell Tempest, Dutch Navy decals)
-TBM-3 Avenger (Dutch Navy)
-F-14A Tomcat "IRIAF"
-Curtiss P-40N "Dutch east-indies"
-F4U Corsair (El Salvador, 1969 soccer war)

What If:

-Avia S.95 (Czechoslovak Bf110)
-DC-3 "Arabair" (from TinTin's red sea sharks)
-F-111K Merlin GR.1
-A-4 Skyhawk (from Buck Danny)

i also recently upgraded my powertools, replacing my chorded dremel with a chordless version and a light powerdrill, should be much better for modificationwork. next up is getting my PC and the workstation up and running, so i get back to physical modelbuilding.

its still a work in progress, some of the stuff is mine, some of it from the missus, i still need to sort some of it out.

right now im about to assemble my new office chair, when thats done, let the modelmaking begin again!

Now that is a nice setup

I have similar racking in my shed. It's very sturdy when secured to the wall and holds all my DIY tools and some gardening stuff.
But.. the wood shelves don't like damp and have sagged a little. You should be fine being indoors.

its been a month since the last update, but now im back, and ive been working on new models for the first time in months + a new project.
currently, im starting to get back into it with the building of a realworld 1/144 F-4K Phantom FG.1, converted from an Academy F-4E kit.

those who want to follow the progress, you can via scalemates
im not gonna post it here as its not a WHIF.

i do also have several WHIF project on the go, including some Mirage 2000's, Messerschmitt Bf110's, P-51 Mustangs and P-38 Lightnings.
i also have a Khemedi Spitfire and Mosquito in the pipeline.

and now, for that new project, i think i mentioned it before, but im working on a new scale modeling youtube channel, im gonna repurpose my old one. im still working on the overall layout and artwork and the first fullbuild video will be on the afformentioned F-4K Phantom build.
i will not only be doing fullbuild video's, but also kit reviews, tutorials, hints & tricks,....

i dont have a real release date yet for the new channel, but i will keep you updated on it.
