They're so public spirited they'd just reject such a parcel out of hand!

Quote from: zenrat on August 09, 2024, 04:57:23 AMAlthough I do use a big fat stinky texter (marker pen) at work to redact bar codes on reused packaging.  That has a heck of a kick to it.

Yes.  Someone might recycle a box or bag but not cover up or remove old labels.  If left readable the parcel could end up back with the sender.
They tend not to react favourably to this even though its bleedin' obvious it might happen if you leave the old labels visible.
Clothing is usually packed in plastic bags and we tell people "turn the bag inside out when reusing it - it puts the old labels inside".
"Oh wow, that's so clever" is a common response.
"No, its common f**kin sense" is what I want to say then...

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks. Next time I'm in our local PO I'll ask the ladies if RM will accept re-used packaging like that. Can't see why not, but I've never thought of doing it. Now I'm a pensioner though

To be fair, sometimes something is so blindingly obvious or simple, we miss it. I Know This Now...

Pheagle now has Sidewinders mounted under the intakes.

But...

...I realised there was space for a pair of Sparrows (it'll be "caricato per l'orso" as they say in Abissynia).  Painting is underway.

Are you sure they don't say "ለድብ የተጫነ" (Ledibi yetech'ane) ?

Depends who is saying it.
 ;)

Back story will make it clear(ish).

BTW, my translator renders the Amharic as ለድብ ተጭኗል (ledibi tech'inwali)...

Mine did, too, but by clicking on it I discovered that the literal English translation of that version of the Amharic means "Installed for the bear", the version I have used is the literal Amharic translation of the English term you wished to use. ;D

Ya'll go right ahead with that! I'll be right over here, hopefully painting something today.

Sparrers painted.  Just need to be cleared and attached and then this is ready to go.

Quote from: kerick on August 12, 2024, 04:59:31 AMWhat's a sparrers?  :o

"Sparrers", sometimes written "Sparras", are Sparrows, generally referring to the avian variety, however, in this instance, I believe the term is referring to the AIM-7 medium-range semi-active radar homing air-to-air missile.

I suspected as much. Why else would you paint a cute little birdy? Or AI strikes again.
