With 2021 coming to a close, I can look back at my builds I finished this year and still be excited about them. All are 1/48 scale. First off the work bench was my Republic of China Air Force Forward-swept wing IDF F-CK-1C. She is by far (Pun intended) the sexiest aircraft I've built this year. Kit is AFV Club IDF F-CK-1C.

She was followed by my USAF camo Mudhen. This was a product of two inspiring images. The build was straight forward other than the big donkey missile. Which was mastered from a writing pen and a piece of styrene tube. Kit is Revell.

While on a roll, I manage to wrap up my long nose USAF Wild Weasel Saab Viggen. This build was much more involved. Her new nose was scratched built, molded and pressure cast. Bunch of resin parts and a $hit ton of decals! Kit is Special Hobby Saab AJ37 Viggen.

And "Douche Nozzle One-One", my imaginative tanker version of the F-35C was my last build of 2021. This is my one and only Kittyhawk build. The kit is absolute garbage to today's standard. But I managed to power through it because I was more excited about my idea of the build than the kit itself. She is the heaviest model I've built. All her flight controls including her folded wings are resin. Along with nozzle, wheels and tires, ejection seat, drop tanks and pylons.

Have you ever wondered how people took pictures of their models with a seamless single-color background? The secret is having a curve in whatever material you are using for a background. And I'm going to show you how to make a simple and inexpensive one.

So back in July, I took a trip "across the pond" to England for a few Bucket List Adventures.

AWESOME pics, to say the least!

The 'Jersey Jerk' P-51 is based just a few miles from my 'Country Home' at Sywell, and I suspect the Hurricane and the Spitfire you saw come from there too, it's becoming quite a warbird centre in these parts now.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Have you seen any sign of a P-51D called Dallas Doll? I had a chance to visit the facility where it was restored and was going to be sent to Britain. That was last December. It might not have made it yet.

I think 'Dallas Doll' is based at Duxford now, and that's a major site for rebuilding warbirds here.
