And as for ordnance - they can always add some, should the need arise... is there room for some stowed empty rocket and minigun pods?
I'm still umming and ahhhring about that ..the mounts could still added but the pods and such are dead weight but I see where your coming from matey...the ability to load out if necessary..definitely not a stupid idea for sure .
Could load it out like there is a problem as in a zombie horde which needs removing or its just come back from removing said issues 🤔 🙃

Remember, napalm sticks to zombies

Does it kill them though?  I thought one had to remove the head or destroy the brain.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yep that's the general rule of thumb Fred..total brain destruction...but if you want to slow em right down to the point where movement takes a considerable or movement stops dead blowing em to bits also works ...no arms..no legs..no go  ;D
If you get them in an area where fire can be used..then it's BBQ time
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

What is the Dream Model kit like? I have been tempted a couple of times to buy one but am put off by the price as I don't know the quality.

I think it looks pretty good in the box and all the builds i've seen of it seem like it's a fun build.

I see your point about the dead weight of the ordnance, but then - it's only dead weight until you need it...

jcf

The problem is that during a Zombie Apocalypse military ordnance would probably quickly become
hard to come by, especially things like rockets. Also would you want to waste needed fuel by using
it for incendiaries? The zombies wouldn't have any way of shooting down a helicopter so you could
just stooge in slow and low and drop things on them, no reason to stand off and fire rockets or use
the gun, except on other humans. For the zombies, perhaps racks full of darts/flechettes carried
point down that are simply dropped. You'd probably get a fair amount of hits right  through the top of
the old melon.

Jon everything you've said there is dead right and I'm going pass on that to the chopper crew so they can use it for future weapons possibilities  ;D
Hell I'm already trying to figure a simple and reliable way to bomb dead heads with air dropable darts
The darts themselves would need to be designed so there easy to make..weighted enough to hit with more than enough force to do real damage but also easy to drop straight down with no chance of hang ups when used .
I'm thinking of a electromechanical system with a time delayed switch so they don't all drop at once..wouldn't need to be a powerful system either as the darts won't weigh much and the trigger could be used from the chaff dispenser wiring as the chaff dispensers have been removed 🤔

Rebar with sections of thin pipe used as fins. Should make simple darts. You could also just drop rocks or bricks onto them.

Was thinking rebar Alistair..it's got weight depending on thickness..dropped from enough height even 12mm rebar would hit with a good amount of energy..also easy to sharpen and weld fins on to aswell.
One great thing about rebar ..damn easy to get a crap load of  ;D

Well 12mm was probably coil rather than bar  ;)  but anyway we rolled rebar from 5mm up to 85mm and other producers possibly made bigger stuff, but then you have to remember that most of the thicker stuff was deformed rather than plain so the  "deformations" (for want of a better word  ) may well have helped stabilize or even spin the dart as it dropped. Thus you might not have needed fins ?

I'll go back into my British Steel hutch now  ;)

;D  ;D  ;D ..a wee while back I take it 😆

The twisted rebar is gonna need stability when dropped Chris as even with a weighted tip there's still to much weight in the shaft itself so it would wobble when dropped.
I've played alot with rebar..biggest I've used it's 45mm ..reinforcement on a grader blade
I also used to make throwing darts out of it when I was a kid..dad and I used to make our own knives ..Holden Kingswood read leaf springs was our fav steel for that  ;D 😉
It's that playing around with it that I remember how unstable it flew until I did some experiments ...I ground off most of the ribs and it flew better ..much better  ;D
And yep I've dropped it off one of our work sheds 😆
I was a kid ..cause I was going to do that 😁
If I remember right..dropped off our highest shed which was like 30ft it didn't bury itself much at all into the 12x2 timber I used ..definitely wasn't heavy enough to really punch deep .
20mm rebar was a different story 😉😊

Glad you've done the research, just surprised I've not seen the Paper, or was it filed under "Top Secret : Open in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse Only" ?  ;)

Air cannons reminds me of the pun'kin chunkin contests on TV. How far can you propel a pumpkin with an air cannon not using an engine or motor to pump up the pressure. Lots of bicycles used connected to compressors.
