Sure could, the USAF flew 737-200s as the T-43 navigation trainer. A bit like a jet Varsity  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The artwork on the box looks awesome...any idea about the actual kit ? I love the 737, and the 727...heck, any Boeing with that nose ! Would be neat to see a built 72nd scale 737.

I don't know much about what the kits are like themselves, I could always ask Ivan who sells them what he thinks of them, but saying that, he likes ACE armour kits  :-\

The Wooksta!

One of the lads at Wor Club brought it in a few weeks back and it's a really nice kit.  Nice moulding, looks a very comprehensive package.  John (the guy who bought it) is an airliner modeller and he was really impressed with it too.

Welsh Models do a number of military 737's in 1/72, you could look on their website to get some idea.  I think that Draw Decals do separate sheets too ---

It's been a while, but military 737's were mentioned. Big Plane Kits have released a few:

1/72 C-40A Clipper, USAF and USN
You cannot view this attachment.

1/72 E-7A Wedgetail, RAAF and TuAF
You cannot view this attachment.

1/72 P-8A Poseidon, USN and RAAF

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Looks like they are all Boeing 737 at heart. Would it wrong of me to assume that BPK have just changed the extra sprues for each variant?

PR19_Kit

Looks like they screwed up on the designation of the first one. In that scheme it's a C-40C.

The P-8 has new fuselage parts to allow for the lack of windows and the various lumps and bumps. The wings might be different too. You're right with the Wedgetail, it's more generic and just has blanked out windows.  They give you a clear insert that has different patterns depending on the variant, in the Wedgetail's case you just paint over them.  I believe the C-40 is a mix of 737-700 and 800 so I'm assuming they've just swapped over parts from the two variants?

The C-40B/C, Wedgetail and P-8 are all 737NG (Next Gen) based which is not the same as the 737-200 they previously made.

C-40B/C: 737-700BBJ fuselage, 737-800W
wings and landing gear.

Wedgetail: 737-700IGW, basically a 737-700ER.

P-8: 737-800 fuselage, 737-900 wings, 767-400ER type raked wingtips. The 737-800 has a stretched fuselage.

These manuals are a good reference:
