That's an attractive illustration. In regards to your discussion with François about the wing, it would need to be deepened if it was a cantilever design. Otherwise it would require bracing and/or wires. Travel Air R style would look good and, especially R613K which was originally powered by an inverted inline-6 Chevolair engine produced by Art Chevrolet.
R613K was later reengined with a radial and was purchased by Pancho Barnes.
In the real world the fifth, and final, Type R was purchased by Italy and it inspired the Breda Ba.27.

New at my stash.

All the kit and model magazine shops in Berlin are closing as they've all run out of stock. 

Oooer, what have I done? 

When I heard Accurate Armour were closing down, and knowing they made the only large scale Stalwart, and that I wanted to make a model of the Stalwart I worked on in the mid-late 60s, I threw my card at AA and ordered one of their Stalwart RA Limber kits, the one with the crane on the back. That was because the one we tested at Pressed Steel had a crane too, but I'm not 100% sure it was exactly the same as the one in the kit.

Anyway, the kit arrived today, wrapped strongly in brown paper and sealed in a box, which was sealed in ANOTHER box! They didn't want anything to escape.

Obviously I had a quick look, and it was a 'GULP!' moment! LOADS of small, oddly shaped resin bits and some BIG oddly shaped resin bits too, plus all sorts of PE, styrene strips, bits of thread, light lenses etc. etc. 

Remembering that I haven't finished the build on either of my two 1/72 scale Stollies, I think I better get on with them before I even THINK about starting on the big one. I've got to rack my brains and try and remember the test gear we carried on board it, but it'll look a bit like the stuff in the back of the disguised Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I did a short while ago.

It's a great model and gaving built two of these I suggest you keep a very close eye on the alignment of the many many suspension parts matey ..they go together good but not great..alot of testing and measuring might be needed..it's did on at least one of em .

I may leave one of the wheels off to show the tiny torque sensors we put on the drive shafts etc. And I've found a company who make resin generators that look reasonably close to the big Honda gennie we had in the load bay. I may hang the gennie from the crane as that's how we got it aboard originally. 

Sounds cool - being able to add the personal touch to a model is always good for bragging rights!   
And having it hanging there, maybe with a Scale Reference Kit guiding things, would be a nice, dynamic mid-action look.

It's not the only large scale Stalwart.  It's not even the largest.

Tell me about it.  The Stollie and their same scale Forward Control Landrover have been on my "when I win the Lotto" list for years.  Humber Pig isn't bad either.

Last of my essential supplies restock arrived from BNA.  Vallejo Black primer, pigment fixer, desert pink acrylic, and two sets of posable front axles for Tamiya SAS Jeeps.

And from Hobby Link Japan I got the last of my "Quick The Yen Has Dived!" purchases.
Three more sets of these (because you can't have enough of a good thing).
