Quote from: chrisonord on September 10, 2024, 11:50:20 AMI got the rubber black one of these I ordered yesterday, and tried it last night on the tyres of my current mirage build. I didn't wash the plastic or key it in any way, just used the pen on the tyres. I am very impressed with it I must say, as it only needed one coat, and any over painting was purely my fault. The colour is perfect too, and the pens are easy to use, my only gripe being the nib could do with being a bit finer, for those small front tyres on aircraft etc. Thanks for the heads up on them Frank, as I can definately recommend them.

If everything goes to plan next week Chris ill be getting a few of these ..I want silver..black ..tyre black and a couple more metallic colours
The rubber black one for me at least, is a game changer. Arthritis in my fingers doesn't do my brush painting skills any favours, and the pen is  of great help, even more so as it didn't need another coat.
The dogs philosophy on life.
If you cant eat it hump it or fight it,
Pee on it and walk away!!

I just bought more pens. The Aluminum looks good (not shiny, but metallic) and I noticed that the rubber black and the RLM 66 are a good match for different types of rubber. I agree that the nib tips could be smaller, but I think they're as small as they can make them without the fibers coming apart.

Think I'll be keeping my eyes open for these at SMW.

Thanks for bringing them to my attention Frank  Hope you're getting a decent commission ?  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

They are on my "Look out for" list at Telford.

They've come in really handy for detailing. For some jobs, then cleanup afterwards (clean the brush or airbrush) takes much longer than the actual detailing.

Getting this lot should help me with all these 16th scale figures I'm painting soon ..they'd run out of gunmetal which is no surprise but I shall find away to get one 😉
