Cheers Lee, I will have a look at I have in the bits box that os near as damn it to the lightning radome.

Looking at the 'radar P1127' drawings elsewhere on the forum I'd day a Lightning radome would be too angular, and that a modified drop tank - or possibly a bomb - would be a better start.

You don't realise how lucky you are. Nearest to me is Hannants at Colindale and that's a couple of hours on the train/tube/walk  :-\

The Wooksta!

If you can't find one, I know I have at least one spare somewhere.  It's a project I've long been tempted with, although with a Harrier GR.1 as a basis instead.

I a GR1 as a fighter version a while back, with red tops, and used a bomb to elongate the nose, and also made the fuselage longer to house avionics. Then I made a sea harrier into an F2 with  skyflash missiles. @NARSES2 , both have different stuff, one is good for tools and paints and odd kits, the other has some different kits and different choice of paints. One is mostly a toy shop, the other a hobby shop.

Went to my FLHS today for some CA and blades and got those but also a bloody big storage container full of car bits and one and half space shuttles  :o q
The car parts range from 1/25th to decking massive..massive as in there's a hood/bonnet in the box which is 205mm (8ins) x 178mm (7in) square..it's for a very large model of a 455 Trans Am as are the huge arse wheels and tryes .
As for the 24th scale stuff there's 4 of Fred's favorite wheels ..a 65 vette ..55 chev ..well what's left of em
Now what is cool is two MPC 427 Cobras ..again not completely there ..there's no engine blocks for either of the 2 cars yet there's a heap of chrome parts ..bodies are pretty complete ..believe it's 1/16th scale ..all this foe 40 notes

Oh also scored some AK Interactive paint pens today too ..they'll go  to work as soon as I prime all these figures and start painting em .

I had one of the 1/16 Cobras when I was young and hairy.  MPC/Airfix IIRC.
All that survives now are the rear wheels which are on the back of a 1/12 trike based on a Tamiya Yamaha Virago.

Otaki made a 1/12 455 Trans Am.  That's possibly the bonnet you have.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'd be tempted by the Cobras Fred as they seem to be mostlyish there but not sure about finding a 16th scale 427 engine for it 🤔.

That giant scale Trans Am ain't the one on scalemates bud...the remains I've got has a totally different bonnet and tail lights aren't the same either...rims also ...thinking this could be a Monogram kit ..the AM with the 4 light front .
Oh those rims ya love will be on there way to ya shortly with some rather noice white wall tryes  ;D

That's the kit I have in mind Jon but the hood/bonnet is not right .mines got a vent on the left hand side of the hood and its not very big consideringthesize of this hood...hey dude did Monogram make a 1/8th Corvette??
I think they did cause there's 5 freaking large wheels and tyres and I'm sure these are Vettes rims but not a hundy percent sure .

Pretty sure ive found the bugger ...it's a Turbo Trans Am ...it has a scoop on the left like the hood I have but the real identifier is the wheels ...completely different to the non turbo car and exactly the same as the ones I've got
Thanks ya Rick ..that link put me on the right path  ;D

I'm currently old and hairy. Furry, even, as the significantly better half of the family has put it, but then again, she likes the dog who's about as furry (and beardy) as I am. Well, as long as I don't get served dogfood, I'm alright, I guess..
