Last time I looked 48th scale Boomerangs were few and far between.
Hell I'm having enough fun trying to find a 1/16th scale Ford big block V8  :banghead:  :o

A stretched Boomerang is a Wirraway isn't it?

AMT did a 1/16 '55 (or '57) Thunderbird if that helps.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I have no idea Fred mate if it's a Wirraway ..fact I've no idea what a Wirraway looks like 😳 😅

Is that a complete car or just the engine ??
If it's a 55 or 57 either engine might be to small..if I remember right it's only like a 312 cid engine and the Cobra needs a 427 or bigger 🤔
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Complete car.  I trashed one as a kid.  Moulded in maroon and not too much detail IIRC.  Almost like they just scaled up a 1/25 kit.

There was a 55 and a 57.  57 was repopped most recently.  While it might not be a 427 it would at least be a start on which to work your magic.

CAC Wirraway;

The CAC Wirraway was a CAC-licenced development of the North American NA-16 (think T-6 Texan)

Some elements of the Wirraway were used in designing the Boomerang, they were supposed to be parts-interchangeable but the design process killed that off, however the lineage is definitely visible.

Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

Once the glue bombed nephew sourced Boomerang has given its legs up to the victim of the Great Shelf Drop of '24 there will be a pile of parts left in a ziplock bag which will be too tempting to ignore.  It'll be missing undercarriage and canopy and the prop is broken but I have an idea in my head...
