Freightdog862

Good afternoon all,

It's around this time I start trickling out my SMW releases. It's not going to be a bumper year this year due to promotion in my day job. I hope to have a couple of new What-If items ready in time, and a few long unavailable items out again (some TSR.2 sets) if I can.

Same goes for real world stuff. I will have the Westland Wasp complete resin 1/72 kit (for those who can't be bothered with fixing the LF one) and a new FAA post-war decal sheet, but I will post the rest nearer the time once I know they will be ready for the show.

I have acquired a few items from John Adams, including the remaining plastic strut, rod and tube stock, and the entire Skybirds86 range. The Percival Prentice has been re-mastered, but won't be on sale this year as CMR were too busy to cast it in time.

If there is anything you would like to see re-issued please let me know, I might be able to squeeze a couple out of the moulds. Unfortunately the P.1027 RR Eagle Tempest set is off the cards this year, the masters are damaged and need repairing before they can be re-run.

I would like a set of the A-4 C noses please Colin. The Hawker Siddley HS.125 COD conversion and a Hunter F.4 conversion set. Any or all of those would make me happy Colin.

I don't need anything at the moment, BUT  congratulations on the  day job promotion.

WHAAAAT?

That's amazing, and well done you and John.

He didn't include the moulds for his vacform floats, did he?

No, I only got a few items from John, but all of the Skybirds86 range (except the brass Strutz, as some of the tooling was lost), which includes thirty plus sets of masters, many never finished or released.

@Freightdog862 , do you have a list of everything you've produced? Or at least of kits which could still potentially be produced from moulds? For instance I wasn't aware of all the previous TSR2 stuff.

PR19_Kit

I'm imagining a 'new build' Slybirds86 MB5 kit, complete in mottled grey/white resin.  ;D

PLEASE make the boxes larger of any of that you re-pop, the originals were almost impossible to re-pack.

The TSR2 sets would be welcome, such as the pylons &  bombs, droptanks, refuelling probe etc. as will be the FAA decals and the Wasp

Would like to see the Dominie naval conversion, if possible.

TSR2 stuff, and FAA decals I am interested in, as I have a few kits to use those on. I still want a P.1154 too.

I'd be interested in the Skybirds 86 MB.5 and Scimitar.  The TSR2 sets also sound very attractive.  I'm also up for P.1083 and P1109A and P.1109B sets for the Hunter.  If yu wanted to do something different, how about , how about conversions for the A-4Kahu or a-4AR modificationswith AN/APG-66 radar?

Congratulations on the job promotion Colin. Radar Red Top missiles and anything in a similar vein would not go amiss.

If the Supermarine Scimitar is better than the Xtrakit version then I'd be interested in getting one.

On the subject of the Scimitar, some joker on t'bay is selling 2x Skybirds '86 kits for, wait for it....

£211 each.... EACH ffs...!!!

I think that I asked for the extended nose leg for the BAC TSR.2 before.
Is there a possibility for the Lynx Wildcat conversion set in the near future?
Or a conversion of the  Boeing B-17 bomber into a airliner /freighter,Magna used to do a set but I've never found one.  C-108.

PR19_Kit

Not wanting to put anyone off, but the Skybirdsd86 Scimitar needs some dedication to build. See my thread here for finer details.

It's undoubtedly more accurate than the Xtrakit version, but suffers from having its components limited in size by the size of Slybird's moulding machinery I suspect.
