It will come as no surprise that this I'd a model I've had quite a few times in the past ..it's rather simple to build and in most cases ..cheap ..this one being very cheap   ;D
Since it was so cheap at 25 notes I had zero thoughts about modifying it into something more lethal.

Pics will follow very soon.

Heres the pics and yep theres a heap of em but there was also a ton of work gone into this so far ,,the build is complete really ,,now its to the painting stage ,,which will happen once i get a can of light gray primer .
First off the turret ,,,this i liked and didnt like at the same time ...the front didnt work for me with the way the gun is mounted so i attacked the remains of a M1A1 Abrams which gave up its gun mantlet ,,

Heres the turret now with 90% of it complete .

As you can see in the back ground ,,the hull got a fare amount of attention ,,,the wheels came from a HobbyBoss Boxer APC which has seen better days and they are far better than the orginal ones which might end up bring used on another idea  ;)
One thing i was that i was thinking about was SLAT or Bar armour and that got me thinking how to go about it ,,,then i remembered i had a E T Model  D9R armoured bulldozer slat armour set that ive never used and really had no use for ,,ive done the MENG D9 kit in the past and theres no real want of another ...yet  ;D
Heres the results of converting the the D9s armour so it it can be used on this project ...i also wanted it to look like its a mod the Ukrainians did and not a factory sort of build ...i think it looks ok .

The new arse end ,,more M1 parts being used here ..

The slat armor looks good! The big turret makes it look like a Centauro.

If the boxes on the hull are reactive armor, here's a good article from Ukraine: Reactive armor of armored vehicles: experience in use in the Russian-Ukrainian war

The Russians will try anything: Cage and reactive armor.

Thanks lads  ;D  ;D

Frank mate I've seen how well the reactive armour works on those russian tanks and the words not very well do come to mind ...alot like their anti drone electronic protection systems

Captain Canada

Very nice ! That's a lot of work, but she looks very survivable now ! How do you glue the brass ?
CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

CA I would imagine unless you are soldering it. Just attach the stuff around the outside edge and the rest should stay in place.
Where did you get the brass set?
This is looking really good!

It doesn't help that many of the Russian Kontakt boxes were delivered empty.

Most of the Meng D9 kits said they had the bar armor in the kit but there was a set from Voyager.

There's this set for the Stryker.
