For some curious reason Mrs. Sandiego89 does not think my completed WHIF models would look good on the mantel, go figure, but I still love her.

My pegboard was filling up, so I cut some acetate sheet and mounted it under the joists in my garage workshop.  Gives a handy place to store a few of my WHIF models, but still see and grab them for play.... I mean aerodynamic study.

The sheet can be bought in various sizes and thicknesses, scribed with a plastic cutting tool and snapped to size.

It does, it also looks a little thicker then most acetate sheet I've seen on general sale. How thick is it ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Chris you can get acetate sheets in damn near any thickness you want ..so your choices ain't limited but ya wallet might be..it's gotten stupid expensive now ..well here it is .
6mm to 8mm thick makes good shelves but I prefer 10mm or 12mm more ..damn sight stiffer .
I made a sub woofer box for a mate ..it was a 12in sub and the mounting plate ..a chunk of 30mm acetate
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I'm allowed one or two builds on the mantlepiece.  Currently there is a Lego '68 Mustang there.
Problem is the offspring in the family tend to be tall and believe "do not touch" does not apply to them.
So builds get moved down to the shed.

I think this one is going to stick.
