I've been working away on this for a while, using the Matchbox Hawk 200 and the Freightdog Hawk T.2 extended jetpipe conversion set. I was intending to add the Sky Sabre missiles, but forgot to drill out the location holes for the pylons :banghead: - but I'm sure I can use those elsewhere! It's also a tail sitter as I didn't add enough weight in the nose to offset the resin tail piece!

Nice looking machine. That pittot is going to make a mess of the radar though.

I hadn't thought of that! Side cutters will correct that

What did you need to do, as the only way around it I could see was to make the rear fuselage even longer, and taper it.

As you can see, I cut the fuselage more or less where  Colin indicates in his instructions - I think there is a panel trench on the Matchbox kit. IIRC I then shaved/sanded/filled the join until it looked the right shape - it was a while ago and unfortunately I didn't take any progress shots during the build

Ah I see, thanks for the info, I will take another look at it when I get chance.

Looks very cool!
You could fix the tail sitting by putting it on jacks and say it's in for maintenance of the landing gear.

Looks good in that scheme

I take it the Dalek is part of the security detachment ?  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
